I thought it was really disappointing, the alien stuff was just out of place and that bit with the monkeys made me cringe so much I now need a facelift. As far as I'm concerned there are still only three Indy films...

Aha, I kept forgetting you had to manually pull doors open so when I used it and it didn't open I assumed it was locked
Anyhow, loving the game, reminds me of System Shock/Silent Hill, Clarence's dialogue amuses me no end. -
*bump*
I'm playing the demo, it's pretty sweet. I'm stuck though, I've got to the mess hall with the fusebox and the switch, I read on Gamefaqs that I'm supposed to use a barrel on the fusebox to light it on fire but there's no barrel in the room at all, only a chair... Bug?!!

I think I'm one of the few people that didn't like Mafia. I would've sworn when I first played it that it was in fact a console focused game, a PS2 original maybe, then later ported to PC, because of the save/checkpoint system that just drove me up the goddamn wall, especially combined with the slow driving speed, spread out city (with very little besides the story objectives to do or see in the city, essentially making all that expansion worthless space) and monotonous radio. Every time I lost a mission over something stupid, I had a ten minute tedious, horribly mind numbing drive to get back to where I was. I was really interested in the story, wanted to see what would happen with the main character's plight, but I couldn't bring myself to continue to plow through the tedium, and quit not long after the super long airport level to get that guy I was supposed to kill and his family out of the country.
Uhhh, no. Mafia was released for PC first it was only later on that the game was ported to PS2, somewhat shoddily. I know what you mean about the checkpoint system it is a bit annoying but then it's better than the GTA save system whereby you have to complete a mission without any failures before you can save at all. Mafia is a brilliant game. but it's let down by some really tough missions like the racing game early on in the campaign.. probably the toughest mission in any game ever.

Doom 3 was excellent btw. Hugely flawed, but excellent.
Agreed, I don't know why people were so disappointed with Doom 3, it was exactly the game ID wanted to make, a reimaging of the Doom universe that kept some of the same relentless game mechanics of the original. Doom 3 imho, was a better game than Half-Life 2 was/is.

Nice gameplay footage but I hate the lighting still sorry, it just looks too blue.

Took me something stupid like 5 hours of Google image searches to find that image, that's dedication for ya!
