The first one was insane, it was just non-stop but really well done. The bit where he's having sex with his girlfriend with all the chinese crowd was hilarious. Hoping the sequel will live up to the original at least.

I'm liking those advanced T models, subtle changes.

The family PC has a Radeon 9550, but it played fine

Congratulations guys

That is amazing stuff, very impressive.

Looks alright, the cover system reminds me heavily of GOW. Not too keen on the overgrowth in the city, doesn't look right for Terminator imho.

A lot of you have probably seen this but I'm posting it up anyway to bring it to the attention of those that haven't seen it. It's a mod set in a part of Russia that's been abandoned for sometime and it's possible that some nasty experiments happened there at one time, you're some guy who wakes up and he can't remember his name. So far, so S.T.A.L.K.E.R. huh? It even looks a lot like it (but much more beautiful imho) with arcitecture borrowing heavily from Pripyat but this is going to be something truly special. They even have BuZZer on the team, the guy behind Paranoia mod who's lent them his voice talents, check out the video

Easily a contender for best looking Source mod along with Black Mesa imho.

I'm at a loss for words, I really am. Like others here, I've known mrh2o for about 10 years and chatted to him for many hours back in the day when I was a regular on IRC. A really stand up guy, always there for people, always positive about things, picking up just about anyone who was down.
R.I.P. Martin.

That looks fantastic, needs a tad more colour though. Nice reference point also, I've had that guy's page saved in my favourites for months now, there's some great stuff on there

Happy birthday

Quote from Thrik
8800 is a 2006 card, man!

I'm sure it's fine, but jeeze you need to join the rest of us in 2009. You're not still mapping for that 1998 engine are you?

Um... no... *looks around*

Haven't bought any new CD in ages and MDB have been my favourite band for years and I always love their stuff so it was a worthy purchase.

You know the drill, any games you're playing or have played, post them here and tell us a bit about them if you like, or don't.
Completed: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare:
Decent title, wasn't as good as so many have made out for me, I knew it was short but damn.. the first Act is longer than the other two combined! Some great sequences, such as when
QuoteThe nuclear bomb goes off and everything goes "red"
. I thought Chernobyl/Pripyat were lacking in terms of design, sure they managed to faithfully recreate bits like the power plant itself, the gymnasian, the swimming bath and ferris wheel but a lot of the other buildings just looked prefabricated and had repetitive textures which appeared also later on in the game which kinda stood out for me. The ending whilst better than some about was kinda sudden and anti-climatical which is probably done on purpose for the sequel since it's unclear
Quotewhether Price is dead or not.
. All in all, short but sweet, expecting COD:MW2 to better it in typical Infinity Ward tradition.
Now Playing: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl:
Had this from when it was released but couldn't get into it and didn't touch for ages because of annoyances such as the absurd weight limit, respawning bandits, getting lost too much etc. Really want to get back into it though because I loved the atmosphere it invoked when I did enjoy it, some of the best amosphere ever devised imho.

Jaw-dropping stuff, looks fantastic! Now you've finished this scene, you can work on the game itself

-
My 7600GT died a few months ago after just over a year of service which meant the waranty was out of date, bugger
I've got too many other things to think about and I needed a quick fix so I opted for the high-end AGP card 7950GT;[Blocked Image: http://picture.yatego.com/images/4756bcbcc93620.3/7900GSAGP.jpg]
You'll probably tell me it's shit compared to the 8800 or whatever but oh well
When this dies I'll probably get a new rig with a PCI-E mobo. -
Road texture is much better, the whole thing is looking gorgeous so far.
-
Oh man, if you blink you can barely tell the difference between the two!
I agree that the scene needs slightly more blue and increased specular on the robot cover but damn, this one's gonna be near the top of the winners for sure![edit]Nice update, but I think you've made it a bit too dark and it needs more blue but it's coming along nicely, love the lighting on the APC

-
I think your textures are looking great personally, sure they need some work but they're far from poor
Scene itself isn't too bad either
