I'm actually temped to preorder, which is not something I've done since Quake 4 came out...

Nice title, can't wait for the sequel "Hyperthemia: The Black Catacombs"

But in all seriousness, it looks pretty cool, visuals have definately gone up a notch since Penumbra, I must admit I never finished Black Plague, I stopped playing because my video card died and I haven't been back to it since, not sure why. I'll have to get back into it again, I remember being in some kind of hub section with several paths leading off, one to a kennel or something *memory hazy*
2010 looks like it's shaping up to be totally awesome for PC games

I know! You don't call.. you don't write... you're never on here anymore! etc..
Actually my dad's getting a new quad core machine delivered this week so I could "borrow" it to play new games, he's got a Radeon 5750 or something like that, all the paperwork for the card has AVP advertised everywhere so I guess it's ok

I'll be getting a new one myself sometime, but not yet...
Point taken Gingerlord, plus GFWL which is utter fail. At least EA have dropped the Securom where you only get 5 installs. Anyone know if you can get Dead Space on PC without that enabled anymore btw?

It's because I don't use the same machine for the Internet to play games, that's why...
Anyway, new trailer and interesting article about the tech being used, pretty impressive stuff;

DOF is just a pointless waste of time imho, no game has implemented it without it looking like ass so far. This doesn't look like it'll be any different here, just another option to turn off.
Steamworks comfirmed for the game btw, another fucking game to buy and find a crack for

-
Not fucking Steam again? I'm so tired of having to find cracks just to play the bastard SP campaign offline..

-
What DRM does this use?

Agreed, they could have done with toning that down a lot.
I'm really digging the look of this game, looks like they got the balance of photo sourced defuse and shader effects just right, God bless Russia The Ukraine!

QuoteThe Egyptian 'boy king' Tutankhamun may well have died of malaria after the disease ravaged a body crippled by a rare bone disorder, experts say.
I saw this on the news tonight, I can't believe that after all this mystery surrounding his death it would turn out to be a disease like malaria that killed him! I'm quite disappointed, I'd always satisfied myself he'd died from his wounds in battle with the nubians

I guess it's not 100% that this was the way he met his maker but it would certainly explain some of the things found on him in the Valley Of The Kings...

Not surprised by the Gamespot review at all, they are notorious for giving lots of decent games low ratings when there's no need to be so harsh. I think IGN and Gametrailers will give the game a better look-in. Still, regardless of reviews, it's upto you if you like the game at the end of the day, like Jericho got a lot of poor reviews but I still really enjoyed it (it helps to go in with average expectations..).

...which turned out to be complete rubbish. I doubt very much that GSC will use anything other than their own tech.

I never really understood what the whole game was about until now and I must say this is such a great idea, it's not gonna appeal to everyone but this is definately the most original concept for a game since Mirror's Edge (if not ever.. in fact!) plus it looks absolutely amazing.
Uncharted 1&2, Siren: Blood Curse, MGS4, Killzone 2, God Of War III and now Heavy Rain... several very good reasons to own a PS3! (although let's face it, MGS4 is worth the purchase of a PS3 alone!)

They're from The Ukraine.. not Russia.

Just noticed one of the comments on there;
Quote"Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC developed in a reasonable amount of time so we have some spare budget to port them over, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen took 5 years to develop so we just want them out the door, and recoup our losses."

Oh well, I guess I can stop caring about this one completely now, what a crock of shit.
-
Oh man that was so awesome, it's kinda tragic to think of it but that set has probably been destroyed some time ago now
