Oh yeah, saw this. All I can remember that they got right was that it's set in New York and there's snow.

Also I'm probably spoiled from pixeljunk monsters, that's gotta be the best simplistic tower defense game I've ever played
Yeah, probably my most played PS3 game.

Pfft, anyone can look bad ass when being shot from angles as low as that.

Banjo Kazooie
Valkyria Chronicles
Mirror's Edge

Is there any kind of Desktop Tower Defense forthe DS? I'm so addicted to that!
Never played it, but I heard Ninja Town is an alright TD game. It's the only one I know of for DS.

I'm not into Star Trek, but I think anyone should just stop and turn back whenever the name J.J. Abrams pops up on screen...

Ninja Gaiden DS
Contra 4
New Super Mario Bros.
Also, Shiren the Wanderer. A friend recommended it to me, it's a brutal little turn based action RPG that erases your save when you die, so you have to watch your ass constantly while traveling through randomly generated dungeons. I still can't get very far, but it's an addictive little creation. Buy it if you want something different.
This reminds me I need more games for my DS.

":1cw45dij]Who cares guys, this is "streets of rage" with guns and zombies
Was talking about the same thing with someone the other day. With Left 4 Dead, Gears 2 Horde Mode and Call of Duty 5's Zombie Mode, everything's just going back to fucking space invaders

thats all cool, but people making you have 30 hp because they cant aim/are epileptic/whatever is kind of frustrating..
Oh yeah, team killers can burn, but I find it hilarious when people go it alone or just get caught not paying attention.

I find with an incompetent team the game is still good fun. People making dumb mistakes and having to bail them out is all part of the game.

How does a beta ruin a game, all it does is make me want the game more. Every beta of a game I've played I've proceeded to purchase.
It doesn't ruin it necessarily, it just depends. I'm sort of a purist, so the idea of being sent half the multiplayer of a game doesn't really excite my interest or improve the experience. I kinda like loading up the single player first and taking in the game bit by bit as was intended. If you take Gears 2 as an example, which I think was what the answer was in refernece to, you could potentially be revealed levels/characters/weapons/enemies that are unraveled through the campaign. These thing's work better for some games than others.
I doubt many people give a shit about that stuff, but I don't see why it's stupid to avoid doing a beta for it.

So, an honest opinion about Mirror's Edge and a comment about Betas ruining that feeling you get when playing an anticipated game for the first time. Sounds reasonable to me.

He's a fun character to watch. And exaggerated spy tales are even more fun. It's the same reason why science fiction and westerns are interesting, they're genre flicks that a lot of people really like. Bond happens to do the spy fiction stuff the best. Though, maybe by default.

It's great, but I think they totally underestimate the need for new maps. Sure, it's still fresh to play the same maps a few times, but it's already starting to get a little stale even if it's all randomized.
I disagree. One of the most interesting things about it so far is how fresh those same 2 maps feel every time I play it, even after beating them about 10 times now. With the full campaign, content support from Valve and the potential for some great custom maps, this could be the most replayable game ever made

Played through some of the missions and fooled around with the creator mode. The thing is way more in depth than I'd have imagined and I'm not even through all the tutorials. It's charming as hell and looks great, I just have a lot of other stuff to play at the moment.

It's fucking awesome. 4 players on Expert is so bad ass. And the zombie deaths are so smooth.
