i am fucking around with the cod 4 tools right now and i must say they are HORRIBLE i think it would be easier to make something good looking with the hl1 tools and todays polycounts...what i am trying to say is your map really impresses me ... it looks great dude !!!!!!!! :monocle:
I haven't had to screw around with tools this much since the old HL1 days. I'm still trying to figure how the hell color correction works. The game seems to rely pretty heavily on it

Zack and Wiki isn't a platformer. It's a point and click puzzle/adventure game. Though still pretty damn good.

I figured it was going to be a Mickey game ages ago but this sorta confirms it:

Could bring back a time when licensed games kicked just as much ass as original titles? Would be cool. Though toppling the likes of Mickey Mania, Duck Tales, or Rescue Rangers will be no easy task.

":2bajkwbf]-every one out of 3 times i boot up the game all the voices in the game are horribly distorted my ears are still bleeding. this might have something to do with all the graphics stuff i installed.
Jeez, am I the only person in the world who absolutely LOVE DeusEx voice acting? Especially Paul and JC voice, so well done!
It's great, played a big role in why DX is so great, imo.

From what I watched it seemed like the standard TV videogame show format. Which is maybe the goal but it's a pretty lame. Electric Playground was the only show to do it right. This is just like every other show that's come and gone over the years, which is this awkward combination of skits, jokes and monologues attempting to entertain rather than just be about games.
Any show or podcast I've ever enjoyed has had people I can stand watching or listening to for more than a couple of minutes as well. It may get better later on but I'd start with scrapping all the excess shit that probably took the most time to produce. X-Play was essentially the same thing and as soon as they dropped that nonsensical shit it became watchable again.

Owners of 360s and PS3s are typically more slanted towards 'hardcore' titles, clearly. You only have to look at the sales of broadly targeted games like LittleBIGPlanet and Viva Pinata in comparison to more conventional hardcore fare for evidence of this, which is a shame as pretty much anyone could enjoy them if they got over their inhibitions and just tried them. I've actively watched 'hardcore' gamers in real life look at adverts of LBP and stuff like it and just say "Looks a bit gay", even though they'd probably really like it if they tried it. I think it's a combination of not wanting to step out the box and try something new, and also fitting in with what everyone else is playing. Or something.
I'd say LBP did pretty well considering. I found it more of a hardcore game than anything else. A pretty tough platformer with an incredible creation component doesn't necessarily ring of casual to me. Though, I guess it depends on whether hardcore means 'gamer who plays anything' and 'guy who mostly just sticks with Call of Duty and Gears'. Though it does sound approachable on paper.
It's well over a million sales now and looks to have pretty long legs, at least more than most games. I'd have expected less from such a peculiar little game, to be honest.
Though I wish I could say the same for the new Banjo. Also a really fun, unique game that was ignored to an even greater extent.

but you need to realize how different each company's target consumer really is....
This has always been a mystery to me. I mean, it has to be the biggest false hood going, the fact that you can't in any way know who's going to play your game. You can throw data around, but in the end there's no real way of telling. It all seems like such a trifle.

Final shoot out from The Way of the Gun. People seem to fucking straight up hate this movie but I dunno how you can deny it at least this. Probably one of the best shoot outs in a movie.
