Cool video until it devolves into Romero playing an early version of Doom for 30 minutes.

I haven't a ton to add, these guys have it covered pretty well. All I can say is keep making things. Make maps. Learn a modeling package. And if you have already, crack open another and figure that out too. Just keep doing stuff, don't lax in producing things even if they're shit and don't work out in the end, you'll always have a better overall understanding of the work regardless if it's successful or not.
It's easy to get frustrated doing this stuff (for me anyway). I have far more failed projects and piles of shit than proper, finished work. But if you find yourself constantly gravitating back to it, it's probably a good sign.

OH THAT'S A FINE LIST OF GAMES YOU HAVE THERE
Quote from Pericolos0haha same here, got it last week. Really enjoying it too! Way above my expectations =).
Yeah, I'm enjoying it a lot more than I expected too. Even VATS, which I was pretty skeptical about, has proven to be useful.

I bought it this weekend also... all enemies are hostile, every mission is the same... novelty of the game world wears off fast... I am glad it was only $20. It doesn't feel like a game, more like a polished tech demo..
Not to turn into the Far Cry 2 defense force or anything, but I think it's a game you really have slip into, rather than brute force through missions. It definitely tests your patience and really does screw you over every chance it gets but that's sort of the crux of the game, I think. The survivability aspect of it really provides a unique experience; finding alternate routes, using the rivers instead of main roads, learning to avoid enemies instead of constantly confronting them. It can be easily overlooked if you get frustrated by that sort of shit though, and it's unfortunate, cause it really is a great game and did a lot of things really well.
Not to say it's infallible, I think what exists as the overarching sort of pattern of the game could have used more variety, and makes it easy to fall into a monotonous routine of mission grinding. But I think once you accept that the game really isn't about that, you can start taking in a lot of the emergent little crazy moments and situations that arise and really see what the game does best. It's a demanding game but it works in its favor in the end.

I've adapted to the 360 dpad. Though I'd grab a Madcatz pad if I could find one new.

Far Cry 2 was great, despite a few missteps.

I'm finding it hard to move away from Cammy. I'm feeling defenseless with most everyone else. Cammy just covers so much ground it's hard to drop her. What am I without my ex hooligan throw?
Though I have been liking Chun-Li, I'm not quite ready to use her in ranked just yet.

It's totally bizzare. It's exceedingly well produced and you could replace the animals with people and you'd have scenes comparable to anything from Metal Gear. And the title just makes it all the more puzzleing.

I'd rather keep my rape simulator input local, thanks.

I dunno, I think Max growing a 'stache is pretty bad ass. But it doesn't look well kept, that's the key.
