But when they make their new game, why does it have to be taken from all the other new games that have come from the past 3 years? I'm sure I will buy it and purchase it and enjoy it. But I'm just disappointed that they can't think up anything new and stimulating anymore. It feels to me as if their designers are either afraid to go balls to the wall or are just lacking ideas.

Are you talkin Fallout 3/Borderlands, cause other than surface level similarities, it doesn't look to play or feel like either of those games. Can't right it off cause it falls into a genre.

Played a bit today, got to

before I stopped. Still getting a feel for it but there's a lot of moments where my attention is split in a short period of time by pick ups, notes, audio logs or a flashback scene that messes with the pacing. Seemed to work a lot better in the opening level with the

when things were just starting to build and introducing a hefty amount of 'environmental narrative' (shoot me) actually pulled things along. There've been a few spots later in where I'd get the sense I was being pushed through a space by the encounters and yet there was tons of narrative items strewn about for me to grab. It's easier for Bioshock to do this stuff when the pacing is largely set by the player, it's a bit stranger then to battle through a space and then be expected go back hunting for backstory and precursory info in a mostly linear game. Or maybe just my obsessive compulsive is taking over here.

Playing on hard, it's definitely giving me a run for my hording tendency anyway. So maybe it's paying off.

I don't know if it's so much the PC is now shit so much as it's just levled off. A lot of console games these days get okay PC ports. I've doubled dipped on a number of games (SFIV, Red Faction, Bad Company 2) and they're fine, for the most part. If you have a PC with a 360 controller plugged into it there's not a lot stopping you from enjoying what's out there. This last month I was playing loads for Blur and before that Super Street Fighter on 360. Now, I'm playing Dragon Age and the new Riddick game on PC and still splitting time between Bad Company 2 PC/360 depending on who I'm playing with.

And the 'consolization' thing, I'm really starting to believe that's an industry fallacy left over from the Invisible War release outrage. Is Fallout 3 that much less sophisticated because it's on a console? is Bioshock? What's stopping Stalker from being playable with a controller? Probably nothing.

Most of the people whose games I grew up playing on PC are still around, making PC games, just also for the console. So, really, what the fuck has changed? No turnbased isometric rpg's? Did anyone really think those were going to hang around, regardless of console popularity?

The only thing PC gamers can be justifiably outraged at these days is the lack of Sim City, and mostly just because I'm outraged at the lack of Sim City.

So far Twisted Metal's the big pull for me. Other than that this E3 ain't blowin my skirt up. Rage is looking awesome, nothing new and Brink being 2011 sucks. New DK looks cool but expected something else with Retro behind it.

I see they are doing what GTA 4 and Alan Wake did to compensate for the consoles shitty resolution; put a blur filter over everything to hide the lack of any real AA. I hope this doesn't get carried over to the pc like it did with GTA 4./Grumble

Aliasing has always carried with it a certain feel and emotion that the PC has always been void of. It's what's always made console games feel good.

According to the ingame clock I'm at 24 hours now, after only really having had the game for 2 whole days .Absolutely stunning through and through. Unlocked the last territory now and played a few hours of missions there, and the story has taken a turn for the unexpected, in a super cool way

My first 10 hours I pretty much picked flowers, watched sunsets and played poker. Life in the west is tough.

I thought I knew what was going on, then it ended and I'm all fucked up again. I've had it all week with Red Dead keeping me busy but decided to put it on couple days ago expecting to play it briefly and ended up plowing through it. Not sure what to make of it but it was giving me some Silent Hill vibes throughout which is always welcome.

It's a really a tight experience all the way through, kinda wished it fell back on some more open sections, which they could totally have done but it's pretty obvious early on they're telling a pretty controlled story. Though the

sections kinda had a bit of this. Silent Hill always worked best when you felt you were just wondering around, spotting shit, shitting yourself, running away. In Wake they call out a lot of the encounters as well which kinda takes from the survival horror aspects, which it isn't totally cause it's less about scares and more about unnerving creepy shit. Which is fine i guess. I'm probably just being a bitch about this stuff cause I love the genre so much. Fuck yeah games with flashlights.

Finished Kane and Lynch just now, gonna check out Lost Planet. After the demo back whenever, I can't see it being anywhere near what the reviews have been putting out.

No complains here! Works just fine on my PS3. Wifi is a nice technology if your not 100 meters away from the wifi router, of course.

And of course it's secure if you bother "wasting" 5 minutes of your time configuring the encryption and password on your router.

And D3, afaik PS3's don't include a HDMI cable, which is a fucking shame, so by the love of god, if you want to push your PS3 to the limits get a HDMI cable and enjoy the awesomeness of 1080p! You will shit bricks when you see the difference.

Plug that bitch in and see if you notice a rate difference. Might be passable for online play but downloading shit is atrocious.
