God of War Ascension doing massive camera pull outs to show scenery while I completely lose track of Kratos in the middle of combat and die isn't cool.
Heart of the Swarm, second match, get zerg rushed. Oh yes. Perfect. But I forgot about strategy game matches that aren't 60 minutes long so suddenly losing isn't quite as terrible as I remember it. fuck u dota
i've made two cities, I've lost both of them and they make me do the tutorial every time I load it up.

Had a few weird issues with the tutorial not going away, but came back after a couple hours and it was fine. Having fun so far. Small cities seem weird but I guess it's about building multiple cities in a region and connecting them, not building a self contained metropolis that does everything. It seems to be a more simplified game though, whether that's bad I don't know. I was able to build a fairly stable city my first go. Compared with Simcity 4, where it was was pretty much Bumtown 90% of the time for me, I'm guessing that means this one is a bit easier.
Looks like an extension of Thief 3's art direction. Good shit.

After just having a dogshit game as riki I want to agree with this but I don't think it's broken. There's interesting mind games that come out of knowing that the other team is actively dusting/using gem to detect you and then acting accordingly by targeting gen hero or not initiating or avoiding team fights where you can be dog piled easily, etc.
It fucks up your swing of things for sure tho.
Just think how much time and effort it took to create that sequence and you see it maybe once for a few moments.

I always really liked the boring fear environments. Felt like real places. Just a super depressing atmosphere about them and they made for good combat spaces.
FEAR 3 is also good. I'd say it's probably the best of the franchise. It's hard to out do the first of any series but aside from a few modernisms (the scoring system, which I actually enjoyed but it seems counter to a horror game) it's a really solid shooter. Some really cool levels and the guns feel good. Took a lot of shit for no reason, and it's at the very least a better game than Fear 2.

This house of cards is getting crazy. It's the most cynical show ever made. The Sopranos has more heart than this void of a show.
The MP3 ending was solid. Feels like an old action movie. Whether that's in line with the rest of the series I don't know but it felt right.
If the fucking thing wasn't 30gbs I'd install and play it again right now.
You can't be mad at this franchise it's the most harmless action series there is. Some of the movies actually aren't that bad.

Ocarina of time was just this monster of a game. You start off doing nothing and grow up with link from childhood and travel this giant fucking world, it's nuts.
Where as LTTP was straight up hero shit out the gate, raiding a dungeon in the middle of the night, escorting a princess and busting out. Escaping through the sewers and leaving the church and the world theme kicking in is the best moment in games pretty much.
That's how you start a game.
Also wind waker has the best zelda title theme only after link to the past.
