Well, i got a scanner but i guess it's a bit more tricky from a photo
usually what i do :
- desaturate the picture
- increase the levels to make the most bright grey to go white but not too much to not loose some important lines/shadings
- slightly add more constrast to make the darkest lines stand out
(duplicate layers as mino said is also a good idea)
- and clean a bit the drawing with a blurry white brush (but usally i only have 5 cliks to perform
)and this is all !
oh and mino, you drawing legs better than me, but geez that chest is directly comming from dragon ball Z ..

If i remember well, Bethesda was victim of a polemic based on the fact that it is offending that you can see the horses buttholes in Oblivion.
Now imagine the polemic about a game where you can take drugs, go see prostitutes and make children melt with a plasma rifle... a game which will be also sold for the consoles, so basically, for a large public.

The game, like oblivion, will be also made for the nextgen consoles market, so i guess we can already forget the prostitutes and the children.

Of course blizzard needs and plan to make money, be sure that i'm pretty realist about it, even the game makers need to buy food, pay their rent etc.. I bring that point, because when reality take the upper hand on creativity, i just find it sad, in an .. ethical way.

It's my work. But i don't think my normalmap was that fucked up, and ingame i guess the texture resolution was at 1024*512.

I like to be very accurate with pencils, mainly because my drawings are usually really small, probably because i'm holding a pencil like a retard.
