An idea of mockup for a game ..... who knows !!!!

The idea is to have something a bit like another world : a game scene by scene with hand drawn backgrounds; I thought it could be fun and would be a good exercise of illustration/composition

Very cool tree , what i wonder actually... is how you managed to have a good resolution like that for your tree leaves ? When i use the render to texture option in tree[d], it seems to be stuck to 512*512, and always give me dirty pngs

So hey bros, lemme ask you something:

    Quote

I refused and told her that i should have killed her before, which i unfortunately didn't had the chance to

; She only offered me my own survival and pride in exchange of the service, something that doesn't sound really honest ;PPP

But morrigan is definitely one great character full of complexities,(also for the design) one that you rarely see in a videogame; You spend the whole game trying to find out if there is a heart (rather a weak spot) in that cold, evasive, calculative and mysterious woman; to only be left with interrogations. I found it refreshing . Kudos to the guys behind the scenario

Very cool serenius, awesome improvement on the lighting ! never forget to use complementary colors (opposing colors in the round) in every composition you do

Which you actually did on your screen, orange-blue, yellow-violet; but let's say it's a reminder

The beard is actually common in special operations groups in Afghanistan - beards are the norm there, to the point that having them helps them interact better with the locals. Check the picture in the Red Wing link stolve posted.

I know, that cover still looks like a coder in the video games industry to me

Is that a geek with a beard, sunglasses and a palestinian scarf (the trend of the college) going to war ? At least EA knows to who they are selling their game to

Well what can i say ? this game took me an entire weekend of my life; i thought i could get over it during those two days, and after 15 hours i only completed 20% of the game and visited 50% of the locations.

I found it damn awesome from the start personally, but i happen to endure medieval fantasy pretty well usually. Especially because it has an universe of its own; but you can't stop thinking LOTR sometimes

especially the darkspawn and their lair in the dead trenches

    .

The combat system is pretty cool, even if it's more easy to retreat to a door entrance and wait the ennemy with traps and area spells than being surrounded by enemies in the open.

My favorite characters so far are : Ogrhen, Morrigan(but our relationship isn't going anywhere....... she gave me the ring, but i'm actually trying to get a relationship with leliana instead; i don't know if she will take it well hahahahaa), Wynne(not very fun but still has her heal abilities), alistair, dog, zevran, leliana and sten (to whom i told to get the fuck out of my company)

    So far so good

A boycott of a game from the game fanboys is like a hunger strike from the somalian population against starvation; without any dry sense of humor...

If you add a "Thanks" button i would love a "No Thanks" button associated to say "Thanks" in eot.

More seriously, if it's implemented, only the "Thanks" button would be cool to have, because it pull things between people in the good direction, it create links between members (even if in mapcore, as a little community, you know to who you are talking to; so in the end i don't really see the point to have such a system). If you disagree with something you just have to say it and argue why; because it's really frustrating for someone to have a depreciation without justification.

    Finished it!!

It took me around 6 hours to finish, some stuff was damn hard; the puzzle where you have to shut down the water for example, holycrapppp, i even had to draw a plan of the thing and cut it by zones to find the solution. The tic tac toe player went on my nerves a bit too .

    But really i don't have anything negative to say about the game, the puzzles weren't frustrating but rather challenging, sometimes they trick you by thinking you are on the good track when the answer lies somewhere else and when you figure that out you tell to yourself : "what a bunch of bastards";

What i found really cool too is that you often find yourself in front of a little system and have to figure out how it works, like the bomb ( i finished the puzzle 6 seconds before the boom !!! haha)

And of course the art (both the visuals and the soundtrack) are fucking awesome during the whole game.

Get it guys, i rather like to spend my money encouraging people to continue to make little wonders like that than on stuff with guns, terrorists and marines.

Machinarium is out !! Why don't i see any thread about it ?????

So far i find the atmosphere and the art brillant and the puzzles are pretty cool, even challenging. So go for it guys !!

[Blocked Image: http://i43.tinypic.com/n4t8w9.jpg]That's the original 1988 version not the shitarse remake which pails in comparison.

I also didn't knew there was an original ! I watched the CGI movie completely and it found it really bad, even the storyline (((((((

Never read the manga, but i'm pretty sure it's not the same. And the design of that robot never gets old.
