Just watched ryan's daughter from David Lean, amazing movie

Well this is very.. VAGINAL .. I LIKE IT
Seriously it looks good mate
, the bottom is great because you feel the depth very nicely, but you don't have the same effect with the upper part of the image, maybe that could be a path of improvement

A half-life usually describes the decay of discrete entities, such as radioactive atoms, which have unstable nuclei. In that case, it does not work to use the definition "half-life is the time required for exactly half of the entities to decay". For example, if there is just one radioactive atom with a half-life of one second, there will not be "one-half of an atom" left after one second. There will be either zero atoms left or one atom left, depending on whether or not that atom happened to decay.

Thing is, i don't have anything about remakes, it's the price that i find to be a fraud.
Basically when you buy a game 40€ for example, you of course pay the material support cd/dvd/box, and the others 95% of the price are the rights you buy to be able to own it at home.
When you download a rom on your HDD to be played on emulator, it is illegal; except if you already bought the game on its default support and own these rights.
So my point is : if i bought a vinyl of the beatles with ten songs on it, i pay the rights to own the songs and the price of the vinyl. Respectively, 9€ and 1€ let's say.
If the same songs come out on another support, and i want to have it on CD :
should i pay only the price of the port ( change of support (CD) ) ?
or should i pay again the same rights i own already for the same content + the price of the CD ?
What you think ?
So i don't know how it's legally justified; maybe they manage to make Zelda : the wind waker © and Zelda : the wind waker HD © two different brands ? So that should justify the full price of a new license ?
I can't help but find it to be a method that get it deep into the *** of the consumer. I think that if you already own Zelda : the wind waker; you should only be paying the price of the support and the slight changes they made. Not rebuy all the rights for the same content.

Quote from Minos
This is not a rom lol, it's a full port just like Ocarina for the 3DS. They actually rework controls, art etc..
Well if they don't recreate a new engine, what is the difference between porting, annnd emulating ? You can adapt the controls and tweak the gameplay a bit, but i can't help but feel like it is a scam. Especially since i rebuy quite the same content for another platform and they didn't changed 90% of that said content.
If it was on shelves at 15 € as a "port" why not, but seriously, not the full 60€ of a new license. It's fanboyism abuse

Although i use 3dcoat a lot, i never tried the automatic retopology in it, so i can't tell you if it's relevant or not; but maybe you would want to give it a try
http://3d-coat.com/retopology/
i don't know if it works well for environment stuff tho

Question : Do the people who bought the rights of the game on n64 will have to rebuy them full price ? or can we keep them and just pay the price for a bloom feature, assuming the game is basically just a rom running on an emulator ?
Do they create another 60€ licence just by adding a bloom feature and making it run on an emulator ? Is that even legal ?
I can't stand nintendo anymore

As being not extravagant, i wonder in how much time an AAA game will be out calling this its key feature. Probably coming from ubisoft i guess

Congrats hipshot !! played the game and it's lovely !
Quote from HipshotSo, everyone wanna know sales numbers and such.
So here you have it ~22000 (steam and some pre-sales).
Gonna be released on Gamersgate and GOG too, soon.
(22000 * 8€ /100) * 65(i assume steam is taking 35%?) = 114 400 € ?
That doesn't sounds bad at all !
Makes you want to make your own indie game one day
congrats ! -

It looks absolutely stunning helder! i love it !! if you want to make the machine stand out ( well maybe you wouldn't want to actually ) some ideas taking the first screen as reference :
- change the color palette of the machine slightly, because it has the same blue/brown orangish you have on the wall behind it
- change the silouhette of it, maybe make it stand out vertically in the scene, like adding antennas on the back for example
or in the texture add stripes / numbers / text well, any shapes you won't find in the background
- or the lighting, but that would be a shame it's awesome as it is

Are the dust particles post processing in UDK or did you made that in photoshop afterwards ? that looks good

& i agree with the orange glows
