Welcome on the core of the maps mate!
-
Well it's not institutions voices during a conflict or people in photo with russian soldiers that makes a country opinion. It's a national referendum to see if yes or not ukrainians want to see russian military on their ground and their independance; but you understand why it's difficult. We are far from the people will and what should be democracy to be honest.
Still, i think this is the conflict that has been the most followed by internet in history, that's pretty weird

Well that looks absolutely amazing dude, you did a splendid piece of work ! It's clear you feel you understand the composition of the concept art, and can adapt it nicely in 3d. Dust particles and subtle volumetric light would be cool, maybe warm up the light from the window so it light a bit more the plant and have some volumetric light rays coming from the venetian curtains, that always makes things cozy
. Boost the ceiling lights too, or at least light a bit more the ceiling. Also i don't know if you can do that, but that would be cool to have the gasoline like reflections of the floor like on the concept, i think it add something. But yeah that's just polishing(lol) left, i'm amazed by the quantity and quality of work you did in one month cool stuff bro !!

That looks absolutely amazing, feels more like watching a movie than playing a game, why not
-
Didn't tried the game but yeah that was my worry, but it's an one man dev team afterall, no ? I'll trust you guys tastes and get it

-
lol what a poker player
-
What worries me a bit is the repetitiveness, maybe the guy will add more stuff ? i mean in pharaoh for example, you had scenarios where the resources were limited, the setting for arable grounds, rivers, cliffs etc weren't the same, and you had objectives for the scenario like growing a city of 3000 people, sell a certain quantity of manufactured products, or build motherfucking pyramids.
Cause it's fun to learn the mechanics of a city builder, but once you know them it's like playing an FPS on the same map over and over, it's gets pretty repetitive if you don't have any scenarios to adapt your knowledge to.
Still that's looks super good and i will buy it anyway

Thanks for your support! I'm doing great things for the industry right now. For example, just today, before lunch, I've fixed 10 collision meshes to make YOUR experience that much better.
You're welcome.
They never told me i will have to do this when i signed for the vietnam.... *breaks his whisky glass*

But i guess now it's too late, maybe they don't resign because the government members have now too much to answer to. And they know what will happen of them if they have to be judged in court by the population and especially their rivals.
edit : but as knj said, it's impossible to know, we just do speculations for our own distraction, and even though you are there in the ukrainian streets, you don't know a thing.
And there is this quote i like in the prince of machiavel
QuoteWhen the duke occupied the Romagna he found it under the rule of weak masters, who rather plundered their subjects than ruled them, and gave them more cause for disunion than for union, so that the country was full of robbery, quarrels, and every kind of violence; and so, wishing to bring back peace and obedience to authority, he considered it necessary to give it a good governor. Thereupon he promoted Messer Ramiro d'Orco,(*) a swift and cruel man, to whom he gave the fullest power. This man in a short time restored peace and unity with the greatest success. Afterwards the duke considered that it was not advisable to confer such excessive authority, for he had no doubt but that he would become odious, so he set up a court of judgment in the country, under a most excellent president, wherein all cities had their advocates. And because he knew that the past severity had caused some hatred against himself, so, to clear himself in the minds of the people, and gain them entirely to himself, he desired to show that, if any cruelty had been practised, it had not originated with him, but in the natural sternness of the minister. Under this pretence he took Ramiro, and one morning caused him to be executed and left on the piazza at Cesena with the block and a bloody knife at his side. The barbarity of this spectacle caused the people to be at once satisfied and dismayed.

Makes you wonder how difficult it is to get an unbiased and omniscient view of social reality when i don't even know what's going on in the house of my neighbour

here is more general information http://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/co…lt_sticky_post/
http://www.radiosvoboda.org/section/tv/3512.html this live feed is really surrealist with the guys singing litanies
edit : alright fuck this i just watched 2 videos of people actually dying from gunshots in that reddit list(how terrible that may sounds, thanks internet), it's on the edge really, no wonder Ukrainians are pissed off. After such violences the government should have been dissolved if the well being of their population is actually their best interest, EU or not.
-
Apparently, protesters want their country to get in the EU, and their government refused. Because of Russia between the lines.
At least that's what i heard on french pro EU news.

Sorry to hear that dude, that's sucks
. Life is a bitch sometimes, i guess only the luckiest ones here can say the contrary. I'd say be sure to team up with your wife and make the best out of this together, that's what a couple is for; don't let the situation getting between you two cause that's probably the worse and the most treacherous thing that can happen. Be comprehensive to each other and avoid yourselves all sources of unnecessary stress, that's not what you need atm
.And won't you get a jobless pension in holland after being fired ? Could you not find a less paid non stressful job like mailman, delivery guy or security agent in the meantime ? You'll make it, there is always a way to make it, whatever it is.

"I don’t think it is necessarily the job of journalists to fight for the industry’s employees. That’s what unions are for—or would be if the games industry wasn’t so embarrassingly lacking in unions."

If that's the case, i'd say the team should do a provision of pizzas, sequestrate Ken Levine in the offices, throw banners by the windows "Bioshock infinite killed me", then dance naked around burning computer piles and bring the national press.
Ok but that's if they don't plan to work in the videogame industry anymore.
