I wanted to add one of those huge dust palmtrees but can't seem to find it. I found the trunk model, but no top model. Changing the trunk skin did nothing for me. I also couldn't find a sprite for it or something? Thanks in advance people

Actually, i like all of them, well done!

The 3rd week was kinda different because both Mox and i were not there. Fortunately we was able to go there 1 day to fix up stuff

Nazul you should take the course instead of teaching
~Peris: No, not yet. HL1 is ideal because it's easy, there's lots of resources

Well deserved, congrats!

It's 1 week per group. 1 week to learn people the basics AND make a Half-Life mod. And to learn those nerds to do some sports and eat healthy at the same time. It's quite the week. We did this last year and 2 fun games got out of it. Very noobish of course but most of it worked. All games have some custom weapons, custom player models, some level, sometimes a custom skybox, the menu is changed and 1 cool new coded feature. Some custom textures. All custom levels. Some cool stuff

Oh and the experience level: Total beginner. Sometimes some experience, often with another engine.
Edit: Oh and the course is totally worth it i'm sure. It's just a nice week of vacation and at the end of the week those people actually learned something. Photoshop, Hammer, c++, gmax. It's a good start to get into game design.

250 euro's a week (and they're paying for my food, cinema, bowling and all, i also get to play beach volleybal an hour a day or so so i don't have to sit behind a computer all day) and i'm writing the manual for 10 euro's an hour or ssomething like that. i'm going 2 weeks. oh and i don't have to pay tax.

Same for me, and the University of Twente in Holland. Except, i'll be in the crew teaching Level Design and i'm writing the manual as well
. Oh and they appreciated what i did last year because i'm getting paid more

ack, he looks like he burnt his face or something

Couldn't agree more. 3 cheers for mapcore from me as well. When trying to learn how to make textures mapcore really helped, with a special mention for peri, mino, blaz and klein~~

Hmm i don't think we need to grow. Once in a while someone new pops in and shows amazing work, those are keeping thigns interesting as far as i'm concerned. And i think the lack of maps is due to the switch to a new engine

Will do

I know what you mean, it looks like a photo even though it isn't. Let's just see how it looks ingame
Got it to work ingame (ah the old days with Wally were easier
, applied it to architecture and all, and it looks pretty good. -
Well i'm making a whole texture set like that. I think the most important thing when it comes to texture is being consequent in style. If every texture is in the same style things usually work out. Let's just see

A quickie. Personally i like how well the hand-drawn stuff fits together with the photo sources in this texture. Made a series of textures of this kind by the way.
