It looks good for a old engine but terrible for modern standarts (even compared to source).

That screenshot looks nice. I like the holograpic ads.

I hope they get sued for using the video game characters.

Well deserved spotlight. Looks professional from the looks of it (dont have TF2 to actualy test it).

Bale is my favourite actor. I have seen most of his movies. Personaly i recommend The Prestige, The Machinist, Rescue Dawn, 3:10 To Yuma, Harsh Times, Equilibrium, Empire of The Sun, American Psycho and Batman Begins.

The movie will have Christian Bale as John Connor. This means no matter what, the movie can't be complete ass by law of nature.
I'm looking forward to it actualy. It will play in the future war. Will be totally different from the other Terminator movies. Pretty epic i guess.

I definately want to see No Country for Old Men. And there really haven't been many good movies this year.

One of the better ones that i have seen was 3:10 to Yuma.

The ambience looks very good. Things to improove are imo:
- roofs (they look hl1'ish in most of the screens)
- snow/street transition (blend the textures)
- texture alignment (at the screen with the door closeup all the wall textures arn't aligned)
Other then that the map looks promising.

year started meh. unemployed and sick for months. But it gave me enough time to work on my portfolio.
In summer things started to get better. I was healthy again and Insurgency finaly was released. This gave me the motivation boost to change something in my life towards a more positive direction.
I applied at Grin and got accepted. Now i live in a awesome city and work in a awesome company together with awesome people. It couldn't get much better. A nice gf would make it perfect. To find one is my mission for 2008 i guess.

I should remind you that this is not EOT. Your offences are really inappropriate.
Quote from MinotauroHell yeah, I love the bloom/real time shadows etc... Must run like shit on an "ordinary" pc though SadSo let me guess, you place the coloured blocks, hand out the dimensions/guidelines to an artist, who then models the geometry in 3dsmax and imports it into the editor?
Actualy these colored blocks were just made for the kids TV. But we have similar "mockup units" of different shapes to build raw layouts or we can model our own mockups before the artists take over the content creation.

The texture looks very good and the normal map works well. buddy has a point tho. It doesn't really look like paper that comes from the wall.
With that normal map it would probably work better as a plaster wall.

They have one of the nicest views over Stockholm from their windows

People should calm down a bit. There is no proof that this guy actualy was fired for that reason. Also about the stars thing. I checked it on their website and to me it looks clearly like a design element due to the fact that the quotes are in a 45 degree angle there. People must be really stupid if they think all websites/magzines use this as their rating system.

My problem with this is that i cant see what happend there. I have no idea what could have caused a destruction like this. It doesn't look like caused by a bomb, earthquke or erosion. Looks more like something/someone has biten it out, especialy the upper part.
Also the metal parts look very thin. I'm no static expert but i would think they couldn't stabilize such a massive concrete piece.

Actualy there is nothing new about this topic. Hell more then a decade ago many print magazines already had a bad reputation for favouring certain companys/publishers and giving often ridiculous high scores to mediocre and bugged as fuck games. Now it has arrived to the internet. Doesn't surprise me at all. It's capitalism and these things happen.
Personaly i trust opinions on forums or impressions from demos a lot more then any game test. This is why demos are so important. games can have the best scores i dont care about them if they dont come with a demo. There is always something fishy going on about "top games" without a demo.

It's interesting how accurate a lot of this stuff is. Usualy these old future predicions are full of crap. They must have asked some serious scientists.
