It's worth even paying money for it imo. Will probably do that since its not free in germany either. On the PC it basicly replaced mp3's, last.fm and youtube (for music) for me. The sound quality is very decent for streaming (160kb ogg), music starts instantly (faster then mp3 from a hard disc) and the catalogue is huge (still some holes in it tho tbh but it gets better and better every week).
Furniture, furniture, furniture for my new appartement.
Congrats my boys!
I find social networking extremely important. Not the silly myspace kind. Just getting in contact with people in the industry or who want to join the industry. Always try to connect with people you worked with on a mod or a company. LinkedIn is perfect for that. Each contact could be of high value to you in the future.
Great movie but definately gets overhyped now. I don't see it in row with movies like 2001, Alien etc.
The main problems that i see with it is the complete lack of own ideas. Movie feels like a patchwork made from scenes of Alien Nation, The Fly, The Office, Enemy Mine, Men In Black, City Of God, Children of Men, Transformers etc. etc. etc.
The main character looks and behaves like Michael Scott from The Office + south african accent added. The aliens are too much human for my taste with their humanoid bodies and feelings. These things are immersion killers imo in front of such a gritty backdrop. However the movie is visualy stunning and has great action. Considering the quite low budget the result is awesome especialy compared to big budget Hollywood crap like Terminator: Salvation that had a six times higher budget.
8/10
Spotify is all i need for my music streaming needs.
At 299 Euro i might actualy consider to buy one this christmas (for myself
). It still looks ugly as fuck but at least its smaller and cheaper.
He is even from Darmstadt, right next to Frankfurt. It would be stupid not to try at least.

Excellent portfolio. It's currently hard to find entry level jobs but you should be able to find something as long as you are open to relocate to places far away.
Btw. it's interesting that you mention Coldplay as music that makes you always happy because for me it is the complete opposite, their music always makes me sad and depressed. I guess it's just the fact that their music has a very emotional sound in generell and if you get happy or sad from it depends on the life experiences that you made while listening to it for the first time. Much like Trance music.
I see you were so smart to take screens of your stuff before the company closed ![]()
Nice portfolio! You will not hunt for a job the jobs will hunt for you!
Found any magic mushrooms?
The Barcelona studio initialy only run under the name Grin. Kinda like a franchise restaurant. But they bought it earlier this year i think.
I'm not even sure that the underperforming games were the real reason for the trouble. In the end Grin was only a service provider and the games were paid for. But what definitely hurt the company was that they lost 3 big projects within a short time, projects the size of Bionic Commando or even bigger.
In the end if this was due to the economy or publishers losing trust in the companys abilities after they saw the sales numbers i dont know.
I used this service for my temporary portfolio:
It's good because you dont need to do any webdesign just select a couple of options, upload your pictures and copy paste some text. Took me less then a day to get everything up and ruinning.
The result is a clean little portfolio that gets straight to the point. Only thing that i don't like is that the "about" button is so small. But you can add your CV to application mails anyway so this should be no problem.
It's boggles my mind how such a promising company with such a talented team and such cutting edge technology/tools can fuck up that big time in only two years. So many bad decissions and megalomania that broke the companys neck its ridiculous.
I hope everyone finds a new job even tho thats not so sure in the current economy.
You can add me to Interwave Studios btw.
