Could Grin be the client they are talking about? Both companys worked together quite closely.

Morrigan, Oghren, Dog. In that order. I don't care so much for the other characters tbh. I have Wynne on my party only because shes a good mage but shes damn boring.

My party just went to a whorehouse where my main character paid for sex with another woman. In the middle of the act the door opened and i heard the dwarf character saying something like "oops, wrong door".

Have you tried to choose a different axis in the Paint Geometry settings? It's set to "Face Normal" by default but there are other axis that you can select.

If you don't think its worth your money don't buy it. It's simple as that.

A company that sells millions of their game in the first week despite controversials (cod) has carte blanche to do whatever they want. They don't have to care about anyones opinion anymore. If you don't like that as a fan its time to move on. Such protests are pathetic. Thers plenty of other great games that want to get bought and played.

As for valve its a bit of a mixed bag for me. They deliver quality and have a great service. However they are not free from greed. The pricing on steam for european customers is sign of that enough. So its hard to tell what their real intentions are with l4d2.

I really couldn't care less what's "Fair" to a corporation.

Yea, especialy when the name of that company is EA who have a long history and reputation for fucking over its employees and closing renowned studios. I don't believe that there is no other option then closing studios like Maxis and Pandemic. The pattern that i always saw with EA is that they destroy studios to get rid of competition. Even if it is their own studios which they paid a shitload of money for. Thats just a very sick buisness practice imo.

Yea mages are awesome in this game. Infact i have 3 of them in my party now (my char, Morrigan and Wynne). So much fun to combine spells for more carnage.

I killed Flemeth yesterday. Was maybe the hardest fight that i had in the game. Wasn't allowed to use Morrigan in the quest which usualy freezes my enemys to make them harmless and more vulnerable.

Don't know how long it took, maybe half an hour. I used something like 25 lyrium potions and 25 health potions to kept my party going. Was worth it tho. Afterwards you get a powerful robe for Morrigan and a magic book that you can give her as a gift. She really likes my character now.

I'm 26 hours in now and i have solved 12% of the game and have seen 30% of the locations. Think about setting the difficulty to hard now. Magic seems a bit overpowered on normal once you got some decent spells and enough experience with the combat system.

The game is really fun now, still nothing revolutunary but it reminds me a lot of oldschool rpg's that i loved. Ultima 7, Ambermoon, Albion etc. Would probably remind me of the Baldurs Gates too but i never played them enough. Also Bethesda and Bioware should join forces. A game with the open worldness and side quests of a Bethesda game combined with the main quest of a bioware rpg + the combat system of Dragon Age would be the perfect singleplayer RPG.

They are sprites in tri and cross shapes. Possible that the engine is the reason (its the newest version i think). Maybe i can get a coder to fix it (its not for a mod).

Some of these decissions make no sense to me. Why Maxis? Didn't Spore get good scores and a lot of sales? And why don't they sell a studio instead of more or less closing it? To avoidd competition? This company still seems to lack a social awareness towards their employees.

    what made you keep playing?

The fact that its made by the same people who made Mass Effect (which i love). Also the pretty good reviews. So even tho i didnt liked it first there was still a lot of reason to hope that it gets better.

I think it finaly "clicked" for me. Started all over again as a mage. The combat frustrated me at my first try but now i get the hang of it and that makes it much more fun. I pause very often and adjust tactics, do a lot of micromanagement. Imo thats the best part of the game.

Also start to see more similarities to Mass Effect now that i'm further in the game.

Have to say tho if this game wasn't by the same guys who made Mass Effect i would have given up already. Actualy had to give this game 6-7 hours to grow on me. Don't think i ever was so patient with a game that i didnt liked initialy.

I'm surprised you guys are struggling to get into this. This to me is like the fantasy version of mass effect. And I'm enjoying this more than mass effect.

The difference is Mass Effect felt very fresh from the start and insanely polished when it comes to story and dialogues. I would say that was the main thing that made it stand out and so enjoyable. Dragon Age on the other hand is a very oldschool RPG that doesnt seem to bring anything new to the table. Story and dialogues are rough around the edges, heck i dont even care about my character. He looks like a douchebag and doesn't speak in dialogues. The game in generel feels not very polished. I assume they spent a lot more of their ressources on ME 2.

3 hours in and i'm a bit underwhelmed so far tbh. Pretty standart RPG, have some trouble to get immersed. Looks and feels a bit like Oblivion with not much freedom. GFX are quite bad considering the small size of the locations. It would be acceptable for an open world rpg but it isnt one of them.

Biggest disappointment is the dialogue system. I expected something as immersive and advanced as in Mass Effect but its a big step backwards to a standart dialogue system.

I will keep playing and hope that it gets better.

What a ridiculous claim. Doesnt look like the same map at all to me.
