Yea epic is the most balanced speed.

The difficulty between prince and king seems a bit steep. On prince i can dominate with any game styles. On king the only way to win the game seems to be radical expansion and conquest of the weaklings. It's a game style that i don't like. I prefer a small kingdom with high culture and science.

One thing i don't like about Civ 5 are the city states. It's way too expensive to deal with them. I prefer to start the game with more civilizations instead. Two days ago i played a game with 22 civilizations on a tiny duell map

These prices are just delusional. Please tell me they accidently added one or two zeros too much.

Yea one of the reasons i don't buy games on Steam anymore. Their games are often way more expensive then retail.

It's only worth it for their special offers but since i don't have a credit card i don't care for that either.

Are you refering to Morrowind or Civ 5? I haven't found any decent civ 5 mods yet. Morrowind i played with a couple of mods, mostly cosmetic stuff.

As long as you are flexible with where to go you should find something with your portfolio. Now its your time to go on a adventure. That's the bright side

I was playing Morrowind like crazy for a while. Fucking epic game. Motivation holds a lot longer then for Oblivion thanks to better balancing. But still eventualy my character became so good that the game even on highest difficulty was no challenge anymore. I even decided to leave behind all my armor, weapons and wealth at some point to get a challenge. But to reach that point i spent well over 100 hours in the game i would estimate and had a lot of fun on the way.

Since last friday i play Civ 5. I'm a vet since Civ 1 so it feels a bit dumbed down to me in some places but it's still a pretty good game and with decent mods it will be great.

Do people who pay for that stuff get gameplay advantages? If so that would be a reason for me to stop playing a game. If its just cosmetical stuff then fine.

I have the Samsung 2494HM. I can only recommend it with caution. Colors and contrast are nice for the price but here is the catch:

- the buttons are atrocious. i utterly hate when i have to use them

- having a PC and a PS3 connected is a problem. both need very different settings but the monitor doesn't save seperate profiles so you have to deal with the above mentioned shitty buttons all the time

- after less then a year my monitor got a yellowish tint in the lower left corner

I enjoyed the demo quite a lot. The game is very polished and smooth. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but having the hexagons and only one unit per field brings some interesting new aspects to the game. I think i will buy it.

Cool will give this a try tonight and see if it will be worth my money.

Take a look at the modular set that Minotauro was working on. That's the future. The example maps in UDK look good but they are a few years old now and you can tell the heavy use of meshes was something new for them. Too many tiny meshes in odd sizes and shapes. If you go that same route it will cost you much more time.
