GTA 4 sucked imo because there wasn't much to do compared to SA and there wasnt much things to spent money on. So the whole game felt empty and dead after the "wow"-effect about the realistic looking world weared off. Also the missions were repetitive and boring to me.

I hope i can play as a ghetto hoodlum again. That was quite fun in SA.

haha nice! I saw some other familiar faces too. Ulf is even one of the characters.

This looks pretty nice for a low price indie game. Of course the 10 million is completely impossible. It's a nice idea to get some publicity tho.

9 out of 10 times you like stuff that i dislike and vice versa. Nothing should surprise you

Can't say i feel too bad about that. Of course it always sucks when people in the industry loose their jobs but in this case it sends a message that treating your employees like shit and overworking them is not a good and sustainable buisness model.

As far as horse movies goes i'm more interested in watching Béla Tarr's new film "The Turin Horse":
Quote1889. German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche witnessed the whipping of a horse while traveling in Turin, Italy. He tossed his arms around the horse's neck to protect it then collapsed to the ground. In less than one month, Nietzsche would be diagnosed with a serious mental illness that would make him bed-ridden and speechless for the next eleven years until his death. But whatever did happen to the horse? This film, which is Tarr's last, follows up this question in a fictionalized story of what occurred. The man who whipped the horse is a rural farmer who makes his living taking on carting jobs into the city with his horse-drawn cart. The horse is old and in very poor health, but does its best to obey its master's commands. The farmer and his daughter must come to the understanding that it will be unable to go on sustaining their livelihoods. The dying of the horse is the foundation of this tragic tale.

Shit man that sound like nightmare stuff except you can't wake up. Realy freaks me out being the hypochondric that i am.
Mike, i hope you get better soon!

Decent meta score so far. I've seen a couple more reviews in the 6-8 range and one with a 9 which are not listed there.
I hope there will be a free weekend on steam soon so more people give the game a chance.

Sad story. So young. Don't really remember him.

I don't get Syndicate vibes from that. If anything it reminds me of Deus Ex.
-
It's not for you then. There are many slow moments that just let you suck in the atmosphere and visual style.
Personaly i found the season 1 pilot a bit meh but then the show got better and better with every episode.

Latest BB and first episode of Boardwalk Empire season 2. Both utterly amazing.

Saw it today. Pretty good. One of the best neo noirs that i've seen.
I'm really surprised by the mainstream attention this film gets. It's far more arthouse then typical Hollywood fare with its slow moving, dream-like plot, ambient/indie pop soundtrack and beautiful cinematography.
edit: avoid the trailer if you can. it reveals too much and gives a wrong impression about what to expect

I can't make much sense of this article. The Capcom guys always seemed very pleased with the development of BC and they were always impressed when they visited the studio. They deliberately gave Grin alot of freedom because it was their full intention to westernize the franchise. Only close to the end of development they suddenly abandoned their interest and focussed all their marketing on RE and SF for some reason. It also needs to be stated that some of the things BC got criticised most for were among the few things that were not decided by Grin, like the character design for example. Also the game got a good rating and was game of the month in Famitsu so much for cultural differences as the problem. Imo Capcom could have done a little more to promote the game. I'm sure it would have been better received if it was hyped up more. Hype is everything today.
Of course i don't know what happend between the leading people of both companies behind the scenes. Probably this is just a pissing contest at this point.

Damn, i'm reading some stuff about this guy. Apparently he raised funding for his game and then fired the whole team when he got the money.
Also the dinosaur design seems stolen from another project:
