The pansie half assed crime prevention method of the western world doesn't work. It's visible in all so called free and democratic countrys.

Compare:

Crime in my town in communist times: ~500/year

Crime in my town now: over 6000/year (over 1000 alone violence against others)

That with a life standart that is even for the poor people higher then for average people in communist times.

The difference was that the government handled violent people as what they are (enemys of the society and country). Not many questions and endless trys to socialize and giving new chances. Violent people had exactly two chances. The second time they did go to prison immediately and when they came back they wished to never have to go back to there.

There were like half a million people. As you can imagine there was big chaos. And no police officer would shoot nearby so many people.

This world really is a fucked up place with shitloads of retarded fuck ups.

I have heard of a lot of knive stabbings recently. It's a shame. These people, especially all the gangsta fuckers belong in concentration camps in my opinion. Prison is too good for them.

I just found out that with some pretty simple google "hacks" it is very easy to find and filter thousands of unprotected mapfiles (*.vmt, *.map etc.), custom textures etc. I'm sure some of this stuff is for mods and by no means intented for public use.

When you store backups of your files on web servers only upload them on pw protectet servers/folders or at least within pw protected zips or rars if you dont want that everybody has access to it.

ww2 times wern't much better. working in a archive can i tell you that first hand. I have read through a lot of police documents, books and papers from the last 100 years. What you got is a wrong and idealized picture of the old times based on silly black 'n white movies. In reality the world always was, is and will be a brutal place full of violence, crime and suffering people.

I'm so excited about that game. Gfx look crappy but what i can tell from the trailer is that the gameplay seems to be awesome. The Sensi games have still the best ball control of all yet released Football games in history and this new one will even top it. Fifa series is a crap against it.

You don't want that people who have left your Mod in anger fuck around with your stuff and ruining the project. We have a NDA at Insurgency and i'm sure it has protected our stuff and strategy a few times during the last years.

Times have changed. You should accept that. A modern mod takes much much more time to complete and contains tons of more artwork etc.

It is wrong that a mod is property of the company who made the game. Only files directly connectet to the engine are their property (scripts for example) With the internet full of idiots it has become important to protect your property. This has nothing to do with professionalism. It has to do with safety.

I'm sure you as american wouldn't agree if someone says private persons don't need guns to protect their property.

The screens looked like that back in the good old days. It's called milk glass i believe. It's bright and doesn't reflect much.
