This is amazing stuff. That ground texture is superb!

The 320MB cards are the older type of GTS (old version came in 320/640 MB flavours, new one generally comes with 512MB), so you won't get that much for it I'm afraid

If the 8800GT is $115 new, then the 320MB GTS would probably retail for $80 new. I reckon you'd be looking at something like $50-60 for what you're selling. http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.h ... VzaWFzdA==

I've tried to post the ones I feel are fairly general (i.e. the ones that can be safely applied to most teams). As I already said, you have to think about these things and decide whether it will work for you.
I often disagree with the content of blogs, but if it gets me thinking about the subject matter than that is definitely a good thing.

Those topics will most definitely be covered

Following on from an old forum thread, I decided to post some of these tips as a series of articles on my blog (Oh God yes, I started a blog. Kill me now!)
Many of the tips are just common sense suggestions, but I feel a lot of them could be useful as these suggestions are borne out of my own experiences and the mistakes we made on Fortress Forever.
I've started posting them now, and will keep adding more until I run out of stuff to say. Forgive the ugly blog formatting etc. as I haven't looked into setting up a nice style yet (anyone got a recommendation?)

I'm still at the same company (Realtime Worlds) but I'm no longer a junior now; hurrah! Still doing Test Engineering, but it's nice to no longer be a noob and I get to develop software, so it's grand. I hope the L4D SDK comes out soon so I can make some maps again, though

It's the best game I've played in years. I've already had probably 200 hours out of it (versus) in ~3 months. I'm thoroughly addicted.
Don't buy it unless you have numerous mates to play with, though. I don't even bother with non-friends games as folk just rage quit constantly >:e

I know someone who worked there until recently. He said there were rumblings afoot, so I'm not too surprised. It always sucks to hear about people turning up for work and finding the doors shut... it's the stuff of nightmares.

The content looks great, but I think you ought to put the CV up too, either as an HTML page or a .doc link. You may also want to consider putting your name / website address / email on the screenshots so that they can stand alone and people can still get back to your site. Just minor things really -- I really like the way the work is laid out and the design is nice.

Uh wait. It's on 360 and PC, yet is DX10 only? The 360 doesn't have DX10 feature set, so why on earth does their PC version require DX10? Sounds like shenanigans to me.
Answer is one of the following, probably:
A: It's not true (please)
B: They are taking the M$ dollars to make it a 360 & Vista exclusive (sad face).
C: They are "leveraging emerging PC technologies to make a more immersive game-world" (marketing speak version of the last option. See: B)

Also, has anyone else played fallout 3 and been slightly paralysed by choice? Too ... much... stuff!
-
Yeah... I should download it because then I'll get the no bullshit version. Imagine that, eh? Not paying and getting a better version. Totally logical.

... so I played it last night for a few hours with no problem, but I go to start it up tonight and I'm faced with this:

Sigh. Right, fuck this shit. Fucking cunts.

I managed an hour before it crashed
patching now. The way it starts is very original, and kicking the fuck out of the bullies was a great touch

I think it's awesome that he's done so well for himself. AFAIK Valve didn't charge him for a source license -- they just gave him a license and took a larger cut of each sale compared to the traditional model, from what I remember. Whatever the business model, he's made a good amount

You're quite the mod lover

It's a Korg TM-40, whatever that is (I know nothing about this stuff!)
