WTF Peri, I was hopeing you'd remake this sometime on a new and improved engine (or finish it for 1.6 , because I'm not sure if you guy's ever did?) :comeback:

    http://www.lanmaniax.com/maps_old/html/de_raoni.htm

Things everyone should know right now:

    (I'm farily drunk)

(Peri, I know, we haven't talked in years)

(De_raoni was always an insperations for me, even though im a no-name person anymore in the mapping community )

    For fucks sake:

To be honest, why wouldn't they try and make a new style with the new technology they have to deliver it with. I mean the old games were sprites and therefore I think the only way to deliver the game, in a darker setting, was to use really gray scale/desaturated colors, otherwise it would have looked way too bright and fun loving with the colors they had to choose from. Now they have all of these new graphical features they can implement giving more of a wide spread feel while still keeping it true to diablo. If you are perhaps blind and didn't see the first scene with the barbarian, that was very true to the original game. Your in a dark dungeon fighting hordes of monsters. Blood and limbs flying everywhere. What else do you want? How much more dark can you make that?

All I'm saying is give them a fucking break. They've worked too hard on this game already for them to just say "Well our fans know what's best, because it's not like we haven't made this game in the past, let's just scrap this whole thing and start over." Give them some respect, without these guys you would still be playing your old outdated diablo 2 on old battle.net, which is laggy and not even being maintained anymore. All you've seen is a glimpse of it anyway, this game isn't going to come out for a while, I'm sure theres plenty of potential and suprises to come. Please. Also, just be glad they didn't sell out and turn the game into World of Diablo and change the entire way the game is played.

    /my two cents

(I'm am enjoying a lot of rum right now, but I thought I'd try to give a somewhat respectable rebutle )

    Simply fantastic.

I love how easily he adds things to the level from building roads, buildings, adding textures to cliffs, ai, real time weather. It's really a brilliant engine and editor design. Saves loads of time.

...and of course it looks fucking gorgeous, but that's all beside the point

Decided to make some changes due to request by the band. So I moved the band members into better view and I made them more 'realistic' you could say. Im aware of the text not being aligned right too ... still working on that as well so don't worry

Here's a venue poster I worked on for a local ska band that I'm good friends with. The idea is venues fill out the date, price, and other bands playing and then hang it up for people to check out.

I made it in photoshop of course, took me a few days. The skyline is of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The actual poster size I think is somewhere around 20 by 13 inches, can't quite remember but it's pretty high res; so of course I had to scale it down. Interestingly enough when I scaled it down I made the height 1024 pixels which constrained the width to 666 pixels. Anywho I thought I'd add that little bit of information.

If you'd like to check out their music you can hear some on their myspace. Anywho, enjoy and all comments or critiques are welcome.

  • Rotating objects in Hammer

You can use ctrl+m to rotate with more accuracy but from what I hear you only want to really rotate at incriments of 15 degrees.

As for which axis, you can rotate an object on all the of them (x,y,z); you just can't rotate an object for a specific point, I'm fairly certain you can only rotate it from the center.

I think you were wondering more so if you could rotate an object from a certain point, but if you're wondering how to rotate on a different access just rotate it in a different view or use ctrl+m.

Well I'm quite glad I didn't buy this a few years back because now I'm getting it for free

I loved the demo when it came out so I can't wait to play the full game.

I've been playing the demo a ton latley, my personal record's been about 300 kills zombies or so before the time running out. I found an oven too in one of the food courts and I was wonder if anyone knows what you put in the oven?

Another question, do any of you know if there will be a co-op mode because I'd find that to be quite amazing.

Simply Amazing. I love going from store to store finding new weapons to kill zombies with. I'm probably definatley going to pick this up after playing the demo. I was probably going to before but this has made me 100% sure.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain it has something to do with ATI cards. My computer has a nvidia card and I haven't run into this problem. Then just the other day I was trying some mapping on my friends computer who has an ATI card and I got the same problem. I thought it was quite strange at the time but apparently several other people have the same problem.

Looks quite exqusite indeed. Although one thing that bugs me is the light bulbs in this picutre:

    http://www.generalvivi.lawgiver.us/imag ... e20026.jpg

Are the lights actually on? If so it looks like the light is only half turned on inside the bulb, and on the lower half too which is odd . Unless of course I'm mistaken and its light coming from something else perhaps. But otherwise there's a great use of detail here, nice job.

    I think you're thinking of this: http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images ... een006.jpg

That main character guy in the middle, who isn't a zombie, seems to resemble Max Payne. Could just be me. But hey remember good old Max Payne games... wonder if they're ever gonna make another one?

I rented it for 360 and it was quite good, but all in all I think it's more of a rent and beat it kind of game instead of paying the 60 dollar price tag.

Very good ambiance though, it really pulls you in and creeps you out. The fighting can get pretty intense and fun too. I really loved the variety of weapons... guns, wood planks, pipes, electric conduits, fireaxes, sledgehammers, crowbars, and my personal favorite... paper cutter blade

oh and almost forgot mannequin arms as well lol

  • so, any of you have 360s?

Just played some x-box 360 tonight, pretty cool, looks nice, you know whateva. But In time I shall be getting a free x-box 360.

My dad's work instead of giving money christmas bonuses they are instead giving 360s to all their employees. So In the near future I may be enjoying my own 360 thingie + extra controller.
