South of Milwaukee got nothing but some of the coolest lightning storms I've seen in awhile. No real wind, rain or hail, though.

I thought it was awesome. Not the movie, but the moviegoing experience. Its the kind of movie where you need to meet up with your best buds and just go to laugh. Gonna see it again on Tuesday.

-I like to see things grow. Half the time I play RTS games just so I can spend a few hours building a huge base.

Red Alert 2 meets Sim City. Nothing greater.

If Stunts'strack designer counts as a level editor, then yes that was my first , although i dont map. But ya, it was fun trying all sort of weird loops and ramps and stuff. Good fun

I thought I was the only one! Making tracks for stunts was awesome!

But if you dont consider that an editor, then it would have to be the Duke Nukem 3d editor, from that to worldcraft/hammer, and now radiant, with a few inbetweens for rts'

Pretty much anything Audioslave and a few things Rage Against the Machine. Also soft trance really helps depending on how sad/depressed I am.

I can't speak from the professional standpoint, but I'm obsessed with it because I guess I love watching the evolution of a project. Starting with nothing and creating something many can enjoy. Its the learning experience that happens during the process, and so I can look back and say "Wow, I helped make that, and I'm proud of it." And if I can get one other person to honestly say to me "Played/used it and had fun", there is no other feeling in the world.

Starting to focus on graphics programming because its the very core of the project. Its the most challenging and the most fun for me (and I'm a better programmer than I am a designer).

From what I remember, you need to be a subscriber to play the games, as well. Might be a slight drawback in getting the general public to play your indie game.

  • Awesome movies (no mainstream)

Not sure if these were mainstream or not. Some may have been backed by hollywood studios, but they weren't well remembered.

    Primer

Four friends/fledgling entrepreneurs, knowing that there's something bigger and more innovative than the different error-checking devices they've built, wrestle over their new invention.

    Better Luck Tomorrow

A group of over-achieving Asian-American high school seniors enjoy a power trip when they dip into extra-curricular criminal activities.

    Trainspotting

Renton, deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, tries to clean up and get out, despite the allure of the drugs and influence of friends.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels

Four London working class stiffs pool their money to put one in a high stakes card game, but things go wrong and they end up owing half a million pounds and having one week to come up with the cash.

    I Heart Huckabees

A husband-and-wife team play detective, but not in the traditional sense. Instead, the happy duo helps others solve their existential issues, the kind that keep you up at night, wondering what it all means.

    Garden State

A quietly troubled young man returns home for his mother's funeral after being estranged from his family for a decade.

    The Corporation

Documentary that looks at the concept of the corporation throughout recent history up to its present-day dominance.

And I saw Brick today: Amazing. Nuff said.
