But on a serious note I agree with what Pampers said. Don't sound healthy.

People remember? Jeez I must have complained a lot… I'm embarrassed.

Think you're making good points, but just like @jackophant says, it's easy to complain but then there are all the good moments to think of.

I dunno if I'm in a sort of "proudness denial" (ie: if it has to hand, I should be the one, etc); to be fair the girl stresses because she wants a future with me and I'm not ready. And she is supportive for my career aspirations…

anyway embarrassed I wrote so much about the matter

If she is ready to have a future, but you aren't then there is only one destination this relationship is gonna go buddy. If you can't give her what she wants maybe it's time to face up to that. Hanging on to eachother when neither of you are prepared to commit to what each other wants, it isn't healthy for either of you.

When did you last play it? They've added a load of stuff in there since release.

It is boring if you're playing alone I find. With friends it can be quite funny!

About 3 weeks ago with 3 friends. I was almost falling asleep, just not for me. I find single player GTA V a lot more interesting personally.

I don't have a problem with that. Drawing on inspiration from real life (I realise it's a game), shorter, less accurate weapons (at range due to shorter barrels), generally with a higher rate of fire have a place in combat and I don't think CS should be any different in this respect. That's just one place they stand above rifles in their moving accuracy. They're also more expensive than pistols.

I don't think the high reward money is necessary as most the time you use them you're in an anti-eco, so on top of winning you stand to earn a lot more money than you would have otherwise, giving pistol round winning team a greater economic lead.

I don't suppose anyone can point me in the direction of how to mod the weapons like slothsquadron?

This sounds silly but I've always found SMG's too easy and too forgiving. For example the go to SMG in 1.6 was the mp5 and you had to burst fire that like any other rifle. It was extremely effective too. I just don't find any real depth/skill to the majority of the weapons in CS GO. This is of course subjective and I'm a grumpy 1.6 player but hey.

I think it's more that SMG's you can just run and gun while holding mouse 1; you'll spray enough bullets to land a headshot 90% of the time without even aiming.

Pistols in CS GO are flat out ridiculous as it is anyway.

Back in the good old 1.6 days (and before, I just use 1.6 because) it was Deagle or nothing. Now it's rek9/5seven armour roll the opposing teams rifles. Running 1 bullet headshots even against head armour while spamming mouse one you say?

But it wasn't at the high levels, it was like they just introduced instagib into CSGO. It must have been so obviously broken, I don't understand how it got through, not to mention how badly implemented it was. Second time in a row they ballsed up an Armour Penetration value (first was same time as m4a1-s had rate of fire reduced) as it was meant to be as high as the awp but was "only" as high as the deagle. And let's not forget all the firing bugs it had letting people run around with a fully charged shot indefinitely with ridiculous accuracy.

I imagine when (if) it got tested no one could hit their shots so didn't think it was broken. And when they did it was probably with the last bullet so considered it "fair". That's the only thing I can think of.

When it comes down to it, it's updates that they believe in that come first and not always those of what the community want. "Everybody" isn't really a convincing argument to get them to implement or fix something in the game 90% of the time. Developers don't play their games, especially not highly competitive ones like CS GO (Because they're usually busy making the game. But of course it is good when they do) so something as glaringly bad as the R8 for example won't be apparent to them until the community as a whole backlashes. That was certainly an "everybody" moment, though and I'm glad they listened (though it doesn't quite make up for what they were smoking to begin with). My thinking is they saw the R8 as a fun balls about gun for the casual side of the game. For people who can't/don't want to master the Deagle and never stopped to think how good and pro level players would be able to abuse it.

The only conclusion I can muster is that the developers don't believe they need it as they seem to think that the changes they make are good and will be well received. This is evident by the R8 and recoil changes they made which just boggled everybodies mind - (which got reverted, saps your confidence in their decision making) along with many past updates that caused more problems to an already problem riddled game.

Regardless, I sympathise with them as well. Making NS2 for both a casual and competitive market highlighted the difficulties in balancing a game for both sides of the PC market. But then they are a fully fledged AAA developer with a limitless supply of money and talent (we weren't), they should really know better. Sometimes I wonder how some of their decisions get made. CS is huge, you just can't drop in updates like that.

Yeah of course £300 per screen I'm no batty boy. That BenQ was the top of my list for a game monitor so good to see I was on point with that one. As for the viewsonic, do I need a 4k screen for work - is it a real difference maker?

What's everyone using these days? I see a lot of good reviews for Asus and BenQ on the gaming side. I assume it's the usual Dell Ultrasharp for work? Give me recommendations. I want one for gaming and one for work. 24 inch preferable due to space.

Finished in a single sitting of 4 hours. Good game with great voice acting and a nicely paced story that really lures you in. By mid way through you'll be very engrossed in the plot with what happens. It kept me completely hooked and wanting to find out more about what was going on. However, with all that happens to you in the game, the ending I found to be very anti climactic. First 3 quarters very good, last 3rd not so great. Gotta say the voice acting is really good too, if it wasn't then the game would utterly fall on its face.

But I'll tell you what this game and it's story telling style really reminded me of and that was System Shock 2. You encounter no one (bare some silhouettes, briefly, early on) and your only source of company comes in the voice of Dr. Polito aka Shodan omg spoilers.

Because it's gotta move on and moving on means being advertised as a generic as fuck shooter for the console plebs to be interested in.

    Don't h8 just troof

I mean christ. Look at this fucking box. How boring and generic a mind do you have to have for the new Doom boxart? Oh wait yeah I forgot, a suit. They've tried so hard to make it look a cross between Halo and CoD.

    I WEEP. WEEP.
