I'm shooting for good old 256x256 texture sets. If you want to make textures try to make them a "set" as in they all go together. Right now I'm making a "deserty" set with rusty metal accents and such. Includes some cliffs, sand, and such as well!

You, however, can make your set be whatever you like. We're sticking with a "quasi-realistic" texture feel though. So anything like the TFC sets of old or CS sets of today are good to go.

Then you won't mind if we use the same style decision on the maps? btw where are those textures?!

I'll be releasing a build (with textures) to prospective mappers sometime this week (there will also be some early working weapons/effects).

Just finished up a WIP skin on the turrets you can deploy in-game!

We're having a bit of an issue finding proper .lwo->.md2 (or .md3) converters, so if anyone is versed in that, could you drop me a PM?

    Thanks!

I think a 15 or 16 year old can handle a game like Brothers in Arms, where as maybe they shouldn't be playing Grand Theft Auto without asking their parents.

    Lips. Ass. Connection made.

In all seriousness I hate this shit. I hate it. It's the worst kind of pandering to the worst kinds of people: irresponsible "safety moms" and "nascar dads" (excuse me a moment, bile just rose in my throat from writing those down). Anyhow, regardless of who buys these games there'll always be some large contingent of irresponsible, ignorant parents who don't realize that if you buy a game named after a criminal act that you might very well be buying something you're church group would disagree with.

assassination of this person is perfectly justified though

    ...although not technically legal.

Not that I disagree with his death, it's just that I wish we'd define our terms a little more clearly or at least follow our own laws.

    Quote from Polaris

So zarqawi should of been spared any kind of reprisal? He should be completely immune?

No, but we should follow our own laws.
