Really enjoyed Brothers! Didn't know it was from the same makers.
Thanks for sharing, I'll check this out

[edit]Seems like it's not available on Steam. Kinda a shame (due to personal preference mostly), but will still get it.[/edit]

The Hangover?

Source 2 was announced in March 2015 and, 3 years later, here we are. CSGO is not (yet?) ported to Source 2 and there is no reason to assume that will happen anytime soon. If you're new to level design in general, just go for it. Source SDK is relatively easy to get started in and there's a ton of information/tutorials/games for it out there.
Level design is more than knowing an editor, so any time spent in one is not wasted at all.

Any suggestions on how to improve it will be appreciated

Looks great so far!
But I think it lacks a third color for smaller details. Maybe the window/door frames could be good for this.

I'm guessing the reason is that all of Mapcore is mature enough (unlike president Orange and the likes) to understand that video games have no place in the debate about mass shootings.
Which, by the way, doesn't mean there can not be a debate about violence in games.

Some of the areas I think the map could be improved in are: the exterior is a bit flat in terms of displacement height. The concrete you use on the structure itself is very low interest because it tiles so much. I think creating a custom blend or custom asset there would be a great next move. In terms of the interior spaces, this is a bit tough obviously because they are just so confusingly layed-out. I'm not sure if that's deliberate, however it might be worth reconsidering some of those paths and how they could be improved upon. IMO it felt a bit maze-like.
I think you set out here to do something very difficult and challenging, and obviously as a hostage map that's an extra challenge as well. IMO you did well with a tough assignment, and any additional time you invest would be worthwhile to deliver on the potential you have here.
Thanks a lot for the feedback, FMPONE, really appreciate it!
The interiors being hard to navigate is the #1 feedback without a doubt. I'm not entirely sure if it's because how it's laid out or because of a lack of visual clues/signage. Could be a combination of both.

Congrats all! Top 4 are all awesome maps.
Thanks for hosting Mapcore & Faceit!

Nice one, but why didn't you pick up the AWP lying on the floor?

Couldn't watch it live. It was broadcasted for the very first time here on Viceland though and I'm about to watch the recorded session now. Somehow managed to avoid all spoilers

Borrowed this one from my brother years ago, never heard of it before until that point, but remember liking it

That'd be @mr.P and here's the thread with more info:

I've updated the workshop with the missing color correction. Soundscapes have not been added yet (as so many other things), I'll keep working on this after the contest ends though.
Thanks for the feedback!

Here's my contest entry. It's not yet exactly where I'd like it to be, but it's time to wrap it up for now.
