Do you plan on any layout changes after the latest playtest? I understand it has been simplified a lot apparantly since previous versions, but I still think it felt too complex. Lots of places in the map where you can go 3 or 4 ways.

Nice to see almost every single person on the core team used to be involved with the original Outcast.
I sure wouldn't mind seeing this reach it goal, didn't got to play it back in '99.
Lovely ![]()
But I would be careful with putting people's faces into your map.
Here's the overview. Seems to work just fine for me?

Took a while, but finally placed an order. Can't wait ![]()
Thanks for the feedback!
Quote from VilhamZoo of Natural Hurgistory
Not sure if you suggested that jokingly, but I kinda like it ![]()
Quote from VinneriI want to see that waterpool in B to break by bomb explosition and flood the water out..
For my eyes the A site doesn't have enough cover.
Anyway, great project! Waiting for beta testing
Source engine gives enough problems with water as it is, so flooding water is not even on my mind ![]()
A site has been like this more or less during at least 2 playtests and people liked it then, but we'll see how future playtests go. I'm hoping to do a playtest in the next 5 days!
Quote from spenceThis is looking great! I don't think the spray paint decals make much sense on the sand, maybe add some planks or something with the decals on them instead. I think some fine detail wouldn't go amiss in the human-occupied areas as well (litter and whatnot) but that's a really minor thing and perhaps a stylistic decision that may conflict with your goals, depending on if you want a cleaner look for the map overall. Can't say much else really except that I want to play it
You're right about the decals. I'll try to come up with something more plausible. No areas are 100% finished, so smaller details will be added ![]()
You're a mapping machine, mr.P!
Loving the setting, looking forward to see more ![]()
Layout seems a bit confusing though. Looks like T's seem to have an advantage to getting to the bombsites first, but I guess there's several floors or something?
Time for some new pictures
I'm happy to say Yanzl is helping me out with models and textures and so far he's made an incredible amount of great stuff already!
No zoo is complete without its own name, so I'm open for any suggestions.

Oh, didn't realise you had two maps with planes in the making. Both look cool! Any chance to have a look at them ingame? Would be easier to come up with suggestions/ideas.
Make the plane like this = instant classic!

What are the gameplay problems? Is it defusal or hostage? Looks really cool so far ![]()
Like the Facepunch project, Dropbox would be neat, as in that you don't need to get extra webspace to host everything and it's updated automatically. Don't like the idea of linking it directly to your csgo folder though, I'd prefer it to be like a shop: see everything available and just get what you need
If there would be a folder for every contributing author, it's easy to keep track of who to give credit too, not at all unimportant in a project like this!
Great idea!
Quote from tommI'd rather keep it source only, and only provide models and uncompressed textures on request in proper format(fbx, obj etc)
Yup, this would be a good compromise.
Quote from LATTEHi would contribute some of mine, but i don't think it would be up to par with what you guys do.
Doesn't matter, it's probably still way better than us noobs screwing around in 3DSMax or whatever ![]()
First come, first serve ![]()
It's more a port than a conversion. Looks exactly like the 1.6 version, does bring up some nostalgia ![]()
Welcome TopHATTwaffle!
Looks like an interesting layout as far as I can see. Make sure to it's probably the best feedback regarding gameplay you can get ![]()
Btw, love your site, it's a great resource!
