    Big bump!

We've made some rather big changes to the mid of the map. Before, Ts could basically seize control of mid without any fights.

This will now be more challenging.

Also, special thanks to @KODIAK for helping out and organising a couple of playtests!

    On to some pictures!

We removed the doorway at the far end of this hallway and closed the double doors leading to the stairs on the right. Instead of this, we added a new path, which the single doorway on the right leads to.

A window on the left that can only be reached with a boost was also added.

    Boost spot towards mid.

This is the new path leading to the A stairs. Ts enter from the double doors on the right, CTs can hold from behind the glass window.

Here's a comparison of the old and new radar images, which should help explain the changes.

That issue was dealt with a while ago. Since then I've not heard about any new maps suffering from this.

    Looks great, LizardPL :)

Is this for a project for DoI or are you only playing with styles?

Looks fucking amazing! The lighting is superb. I'm not a fan of how the foliage is turning out in the last 2 pics though. But I'm looking on a tablet, so this might not be the best judgement :) Either way, great work!

You can use Sketchup to create maps for CS:GO. As a matter of fact, lake, italy, bank, vertigo and stmarcs were made this way for CSGO. Not entirely sure about the full process, but you'll still need to be familiar with hammer though.

Also, you can use @shawnolson's WWMT to map for source using 3DSMAX.

Wow, is Lanmaniax making a comeback for real??!! Just last week I was browsing lanmaniax (or whatever was still left) on web.archive.org and wished it would be still around. This is great news :D Welcome back, RA7!

Awesome player models :D Did you make them yourself?

Not sure if they're different enough though. Seems like it would be pretty difficult to distinguish them from each other on a darker/gritty map.

Because after 3+ years, these issues shouldn't exist in this amount in the first place. Sure, a spot here and there could be missed, cause clipping properly is time consuming.

And that's a lot of hypothetical reasoning you got going on there ;)

It's not just the bottom step that isn't clipped. On a lot of maps in the reserve pool, stairs are simply not clipped at all (among other stuff).

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I absolutely can't wrap my head around how very inconsistently Valve is about this.

You'd think they have some standard rules for this (especially by now) for official maps.

I played a few games with bots. It was really fun :) My initial reaction (first few seconds only) was that it felt way to speedy, but it didn't take much time to get accustomed to it.

@Terri is there a server around running grotto? Or did one of you guys hosted? Would be great to play with humans :D
