So ever since i started watching blu-ray movies, i cannot decide wich movies to get first.

So this thread = Movies that are awesome in blu-ray

For and example:

The Dark Knight

Great sound and picture, one of the best looking blu-ray movie´s i´ve seen.

Also great acting and a great story if you´re into dark knights.

AQ= 8/10 VQ = 10/10 (Audio/Video Quality)

Let me begin:

Transformers

The first movie i ever bought on Blu-ray, seeing how i actually like a Michael Bay movie for the action and i grew up with the toys.

I first saw Transformers the first day it was up in the theaters in Sweden, and i had mixed feelings for it. It just seemed like a great movie to test-drive my new home-theater system with!

The VQ is crisp, great. Everything looks good and i cannot complain at all! Same for the AQ, the sound is friggin amazing!! The end battle scenes have some excellent sound to really put your speakers to test! The movie overall, has an pretty ok story i guess, not what i hoped for when i first saw it but it´s ok.. for being a Michael Bay movie. A perfect sunday movie for when you are hungover eating pizza and don´t want to think.

Yeah i think i´m gonna watch it today. The scene where Cuba Gooding Jr shoots down some Japs screaming is pretty fucking gay though, but every war movie that has Tom Sizemore in it is great! My respect o´meter for Ben Affleck went from almost total zero to holy shit status after watching "The Town". I cannot believe he directed it, now i must see "Gone Baby, Gone" also.

The Arrival is not availible in europe it seems

I think the movie is pretty ok.. I´ve seen worse And Kate Beckinsale is hawwwwt

Apparantly, this movie has awesome sound, so i gotta try it now that i got a home-theater system.

I love Nolans Batman movies because he makes them more serious and brings them closer to reality (i.m.ho.), i think he is one of the best directors right now. Inception was just fantastic, and before i saw it i heard people talking about the goddam ending being gay, but it´s pretty clear to me how it ended.

I can´t wait for the next Batman movie. I just hope he does not bring that gay kid Robin into the picture... Or catwoman..

The dark knight IS awesome b.t.w.. Ledger´s Joker is simply great acting.. Hate Bale´s Batman voice tho, sounds really fucking gay!

You should travel to Burg, in germany and visit Calle.dk . Make sure you got a big trailer.

I live in Sweden, and it should be no biggie for anyone to move here! If you stay here illegal we have the worst police officers that won´t care to find you, almost no military force and worst of all, alchohol and beer is expensive as fuck. Most Swedes rent a big truck, go to Germany, load it with beer, then go home. (Atleast i do sometimes, saves me shitload of money).

On the serious side, it shouldn´t be a problem as long as you got something to do, altho you can come here and not do anyhthing for 10 years and still stay like many other people in my town have done. A part of me hates my country so much after how i got treated by the authorities, but most of the time it works. If you go to Sweden, be sure to stay close to the coast cities, they are the only good ones, the deeper you go into this country the more it sucks.

Hohoho, it aint all about the graphics, i think other stuff can make you see past the flaws.

It gave me the same feeling i had when i first saw Rapture in the beginning of Bioshock. Still gettin goosebumps over that.

I recently started watching movies that was made before my birth or movies that i´ve simply missed. To help me with my quest for great movies i want you all to write your favourites. (Atleast the ones you can come up with at the moment, i realize there are many favourite movies).

As an example, here´s a list:

1 - Fletch - Starring Chevy Chase, a movie i did not see until recently, and i must say i LOVE 80´s comedy movies.

2 - American History X - Saw it 2 years after release, never heard of it and i was amazed how i could have missed it.

3 - From Dusk Til Dawn - Knew nothing about it, my parents rented it and when the movie turns to a friggin slaughterfest i´m like "FUCK YEAH!" Totally suprised by the twist.

4 - Equilibrium - Simply great.

So what do you got?
