yea good, although if you can find me a mod team that works like this i will chew my own head ... (don't quote me on that)
Either way its good advise wether you take it or not.

Im all for totaly custom levels, but in all honesty i think its to much work
even if we have 5 or so levels using a set mapcore texture/model set.
Im building a fun shotgun map (remake of an old cs map i made) i don't have enough spare time to work on a completely new cs_ or de_ level ![]()
Either way, is the pack just limmited to cs_ de_? or can we not include very well made fun maps aswell?
looks nice
has a nice atmospher
oooooooorlandooooooooooooooooooo blooooooooooooooom!!
sexy
wowza awesome job, maybe smooth off the beach sand to water. Possibly add some expensive water ![]()
Anyway awesome job!
hey nice job, i love the atmospher in the level. Some lighting issues make it abit ....
wot is it meant to be? ![]()
har har, kewl boat m8, needs fish
i lost dam a year long project from 2 backups being corrupt at the same time lol. lucky i had the last full compile on my hd tho ![]()
All you can do in such situations is either rebuild it again which you will do better or treat it as time well spent learning the tools ![]()
yikes another kewl level in the works, like allot of people said it has that really nice "old" school touch but with allot of class and polish which i love ![]()
Some things i feel don't fit like the corigated metal textures from hl2 but that's being picky!
Visuals i like but is the gameplay any good
overview gogogogo
oh lewks nice there, but make sure you add some height into the enviroment, some nice stairs going to a lower garden or a mill would be super kewl.
Play with heights, a flat level is a boring one.
kewl work, but most developers now working towards or with next generation engines require you to do a specific job really well instead of an entire levels assets by yourself.
It's always nice to have lots of diffrent content in a portfolio but you really need to decide what aspect of game creation you enjoy the most and build up a solid portfolio based around that one area.
It seems that most jobs in what we called "mapping" not long ago is split into 2 parts, design and art, if you want to actualy physicaly make the enviroments go for the art, if you enjoy the design and AI/Scripting side of things more concentrate on concept plans and ofcourse some kind of scripting.
It's defo worth thinking about what you really want to work at before the jobs become so seperate your stuck somewhere in the middle!
Good luck
im growing more and more to hate bsp work
even this map looks so square even tho it isnt!
/me keeps learning modeling
Oh nice work! i like allot
Hmm it looks nice for sure, but from those vids i can't say it looks much more impressive than the old and outdated ut2k4, sure it has some nice technoligy but i can't see that much used in these vids.
I really hope q4 has some more diffrent styled enviroments like ut2k3/4 did. Otherwise it's not a game for me ![]()
all i have to say is . . .
lol
I actualy shat my pants in the demo
the girl on the ladder was bad enough antill i went into that blood cooridoor wtf .... ok this game is bloody awesome ![]()
Makes doom3 feel like theme park
