I would have to agree that the EOT is pretty retarded but I would not think it was a key part of Mapcores history... further more I would not link Postman to the EOT Retardation. I do think we need someone else to write that stuff... damn wiki's

well cool.. running on old laptop, sounds neat, I tought it didn't work on older models of GFX cards, that you needed the "Vista compatible card."It look shit, I mean the same, which is shit, uninspired, maybe it won't totally blow on technical side.
this assume you want to take advantage of the Aero effects which some people do not so having an older card that does not use them is nothing big... and maybe I should have been clear when i said old laptop... its a athlon 64bit 3200+ with a 128mb ATI card and a gig of ram
I have seen it run on machines like 1.2ghz or 1ghz p3's with 512mb and a alright vid card and the OS runs just fine... but if you really wanted to take advantage of it then yes you would need a compatabile card. Furthermore you have never actually run the OS so you can't really cast judgement on it and its still in beta stages so what you see could change and really already has from very early builds. -
Not that I know anything these days... but I could tell ya little about windows Vista. That right now it blows chode... Very broken and it’s in its beta 2 stages which is about 80% feature full... Many features are built from the ground up but largely based on the windows 2003 server code set. Suppose to come out at the end of 2006... Aside from the brokenness I did have a build running on an old laptop ran pretty quick compared to windows XP....
Everything looks so called "pretty".. I will say it does have some nifty new features for example it uses IPV6 which is 8 times faster than the shit we use now which was built in 1974 so anything is better there... It shuts down when i tell it to instead of dragging on and on and on like Windows XP does. IE 7 does support tabbed browsing which is nice, and also supposedly adheres to standards but who knows on that one. One of the cool features I think is they re-wrote the Audio stack so we can actually turn down the volume of specific application and not affect the volume of other applications. Which means fucking realplayer will not change the volume of the system it will just change the volume of realplayer.
Has a retarded sidebar that seems broken, but I think in the end it will actually be a pretty good OS, will run on top of DirectX 10 and utilize technologies such as the Windows Presentation Foundation and the Windows Communication Foundation. It will have support for the next version of the file system called WINFS which will also run on windows XP... Very broken as well but a cool concept at least.
I have some screens from an old build that I was running awhile back it has changed a little the start button is now a circle... some screens from the most recent build which was put out to testers last week can be found at the following link
some shots from my collection of future MS stuff are at :
The OS will support 32bit as well as 64bit and weights in at about 1.65gb on a DVD. which is pretty big compared to Windows XP which is about 700mb. I think Windows Vista will be worth the upgrade from what I have seen and largley based on the fact that I have had versions of it installed on a machine for over the last 2 years. I think it will quick, I think it will finally give the users the customizablity that they want and I think it will finally allow us to have control at some level and plus it looks nice

lol... I am sure any one of the gaming vets on this very forum could find out some answer that will please your devices, they have more contacts in the industry then I do..... But I am pretty confident on this one.. I would start looking for a diablo title maybe 3-5 years from now... May seem like a long time but it did take them almost 10 years to make warcraft 3. From the sources that I have the game is in very early stages and nothing is very final but the word MMO has been thrown around. I would also not be suprised if we did see another RTS title come out of blizzard one that has been long overdue and is about 2 years out.
-
I think you both are on the right track as far as MMORPG but I can assure you that there will be no diablo title out for awhile..

I could very well be in LA for x-mas LOL... as far as SF or San Jose I am less then 20 min from both right now LOL. but by the end of the week I will be in LA.. oh well useless ranting. KLEIN KICKS ASS!!!!

as a share holder in the Microsoft Corportation... I feel that the company does do some great things... Mainly creates a huge bit of competition which is what is needed for any economy or sound biz to function... I agree that MS has made some poor choices but the best wins and whats great about the software industry is they give you a choice and your not locked into anything, So I think that has created a great competition... that is truely needed to produce the best software possible...
As far as Adobe buying out Macromedia, knowing what there plans are for products and where the future of that company is headed which is workflow... I think that them buying out macromedia will just extend that more so then whats already there... We will see the evolution of applications that need a pick me up. Apps like GoLive, Version Cue, or even Adobe Bridge could benifit from macromedia's distrobution model when it comes to sorting out media. I think it was a wise buy and I think that if adobe wants to continue to compete in certain markets specificly the web market it needs to insure that other companies such as MS do not take bold steps in removing any market share they already have.

it does not have the same dynamic shadowing that let say doom 3 would have and there is an easy way to prove that build a wall make it fun_breakable... place a "Dynamic Light" and then blow up the wall and wow the shadow from the wall is still there... but the wall is not there Hmmm I don't know... How does that happen??? explain to me the dynamicness(not really a word) of that.
