There are ways they might be true, but probably not the ways in which they are generally thought to be true. Witches, hauntings, possession, and communication beyond the grave can probably be logically explained.

Shoot, most of the time witches were usually people who just poisoned or terrorised others. For a nice psychological scare, they'd say it was magic or the devil. Most hauntings can be explained scientifically. Usually something structurally odd about the house. Possession could be a state of mind or something like a seizure. Communication with the dead? Who knows; could be someone trying to make a buck or two like Ms Cleo.

Now, I'm not trying to prove these things. This is me just speculating off the top of my head.

I would certianly hope an atheist, or anyone with any belief for that matter, would be willing to excercise a certain amount of openmindedness. How ignorant does one have to be to want to shut out the world around him? To a religious person, I'm not saying "try something else for a while". I'm just saying, realize that a lot of other people believe as strongly as you do about their own differing beliefs. Who's right? Who's wrong? You'll never truely know until you die.

I come to my current conclusions after years of questions and uncertainty and by all means I haven't answered them all yet. Growing up with a Christian mom and a Buddhist dad, and calling myself a Christian for the majority of my younger life gives me a little bit of "been there done that" experience that has helped me form my own opinions. And by all means, these opinions are certianly subject to change in the future.

And I'm not atheist.

Science is rooted in fact, which means there is plenty of real, tangible, rational evidence to back it up. It's theories are based on factual evidence. Science is an ongoing thing that strives to understand the world around us. Just because man hasn't yet been able to understand every single little bit of every single little thing, doesn't make it invalid. New things are discovered every day. It's an endless endeavour.

Religion, on the other hand, is based on faith. It's based on the intangible. In the dogmatic versions, it's not open to improvement. In some cases, it requires a person to ignore the rational in favor of faith in something they'll never see. The dangerous part is, many religious people close up their mind so tightly that when something rational or real is thrown their way, they don't even try to see it. You can't teach and old dog new tricks, basically. If somebody chooses to be relgious, they should at least be willing to challenge their own faith with questions and a certain degree of openmindedness. As humans, they owe themselves that and who knows, they may be able to answer some of those questions and become stronger in their faith or, on the flip side, see through it.

It's not a real football. It's not the typical stitched leather of a football (aka soccer ball) as it's made of a thin rubber material. And it's much harder to kick, especially when it's a little bit deflated like the ball we were using.

Kickball is basically just like baseball, but the pitcher rolls the ball and the batter kicks. Normal baseball "out" rules apply but you can also hit the runner with the ball in a dodgeball style.

Religion, in its organized form, has always changed at the whims of whomever is powerful enough to make it happen. It is created, written, and organized by man, and will always be skewed and screwed with by man, which is it's flaw.

Yeah, if someone dubs something they created as art then it's art. Even though it can be shitty art.

At the risk of being cheesy, I'll pick the game that actually got me to where I am today and say Unreal Tournament.

As far as pure enjoyment from a singleplayer pov, I'd say Morrowind.

Well, yeah. I guess the word "subjective" isn't the best word, but what I mean is, art can be anything to anyone. So my point is that one method of photography isn't any less artistic than any other method.

"Artistry" is all subjective, whether it be processing a peice of film with chemicals or altering an image file with photoshop. One is no more artistic than the other.

The one thing I don't like is when people claim that one technique is more artistic than the other.
