Having a go at 'Metro 2033', and every now and then just wreck stuff in 'Just Cause 2' with all DLCs included to let off some steam.

Yeah, the portfolio itself is very small and you should move away from the compact designs you've done, and have it go from top to bottom of the page, probably with a fixed width (most people do that). The portfolio should showcase all your work at once, with little to no need of navigating multiple pages. Put all your stuff on one page, separating your work with headers (3D under one, photography under another, etc).

That should improve your portfolio quite a bit. This isn't set in stone, as it's just my personal recommendations

Playing BFBC2.Seriously, this game is made for new player ?? With 3 hours of play, I made 7 frags...

It'll be much better once you start unlocking stuff. If you want to rack up points real fast (as thus XP), you should go Medic. You won't have the medpack at first but it'll be available/unlocked to you if you play Medic for a short while, and once you got it you get on healing your teammates and the points starts rolling in. You can always pick kits from the ground from players with much more unlocked items to get going. Or you can also go Assault and get the ammo pack unlocked, and keep your mates supplied (read: filled with grenades and rockets for the obvious spam). Or how about Engineer and rack up points by keeping team vehicles in good shape. If everything else fails ... there's always Sniper, which I prefer to equip with shotguns or all kits weapons instead, and throw motion sensors everywhere.

Once you've gotten quite a few unlocks, you'll be fragging away

    M416 with ACOG sight, muhahaha!

Tip: The AI is pants on retarded when it comes to battles overseas. Units never embark across landmasses if it's more than one tile between them. If you control an entire continent, you are safe. The enemy will only ever attack with naval units on your cities, but if you have ranged units stationed there or a naval army, it's no problem. However, if the AI sends Settlers across the entire world and will only embark onto "your" continent if they have a city there.

By knowing this, I won with a Cultural Victory as Egypt (LOLWONDERS) without building more then some scouting units . Pick the mapstyle "Small Continents" and you'll see ... or even better: "Tiny Islands", and you'll sure be alone on an island, without a worry in the world.

But enough tech-love about hosting..I’m exhausted! I’d really like to do a Seecret Friday update, both to keep you guys happy and to actually get to do some programming myself, but I need to wind down.

And.. Civilization 5 just got unlocked on Steam.

I’ll see you on the other side!

Fun is over for your freeloaders! The website is ... somewhat back up and working. And in the nick of time, with griefing getting out of hand with all these "HURR ITS FREE THEN I CAN BE A GIANT CUNT" players.

In the future, server admins will be able to set custom textures per server, so one can have themed worlds (autumn, winter, OH GOD I'M TRIPPING BALLS, etc).

Apart from PayPal being massive dicks, there has been a glorious update now that enables server-side inventories, chests, etc. Multiplayer is getting better and better!
