My definition of streaming content is when I don't encounter a loading-screen for a very long time, which is what I noticed in Singularity ![]()

Still hardly anyone takes advantage of the streaming content feature in the engine. The only somewhat recent game I can recall using it is 'Singularity'

Or thought of me, as I can relate to every single problem listed there and mentioned there. Figures why I havn't even started on something for The Cube challenge yet...

EA are currently taking down all videos like mad atm, so be quick about it

Good god, had a few hours of multiplayer (Anarchy, quickmatch) in this, and for being a bunch of random dudes, we managed to get to wave 18 .. and fail to advance to the next wave for an hour. The first few waves are no brainers but around wave 10 or so, you and the team got to start thinking ahead and try not to waste any bonus points from the "Challenge" enemies that pop up every now and then. They are just normal enemies with a blue highlight text above their head that has the name of a skillshot, and you have to perform that on him to gain the score bonus. It has to be a team kill as well. Any kills done in multiplayer from 2 or more players grant more points than if you were to do it alone, so all skillshots you can get in singleplayer can also be gained as a Team skillshot in multiplayer. And the Sniper rifle can not be obtained in multiplayer, at least in Anarchy mode.

I think you missed the detail that I can't get passed the Login screen ... you know, the first menu you see when you start the game.

This is as far as I can get in the demo right now, and that's just the login screen!

It has been like that for DAYS...
Only a few people have been able to fix that problem by tinkering with the Windows Firewall... but others like myself who do not use Windows Firewall at all, are screwed.

You can edit the INI-files but only with an editor, as they're obfuscated. And yeah, GFWL should go burn in the deepest fiery pits of hell and be tormented for eternity.

A very deep and detailed review, I must say.

Lets hope the final product have more color than that.

Aim-assist has no place in the multiplayer part of the game, especially on PC :

Had a few rounds of MP just now. The game runs very well on GAMER graphics setting (HARDCORE dropped my FPS like a rock) and looks good too. Gameplay-wise, it's mixed opinions ... you can't shake the feeling that the game wants to be like Call of Duty (killstreaks and perks similar to it). Moving around is good as long as you have energy .. but when depleted you move at a snails pace, and the sniper rifle has a mind of its own, so it could use a stability meter or something, cause my bullets were going anywhere but straight.
However, Crysis 2 multiplayer is far less rage-inducing comparing to Call of Duty! That's good! The parkour is a nice way to move around, no ridiculous instant melee kills unless you're stealthed and behind the enemy, overall pace is ok, and grenade spam just doesn't exist.

Quote from Taylor
I generally don't like playing as some fratboy who uses the word "party" as a verb, but I liked the tongue-in-cheek story, scoring and general craziness of Vanquish, so maybe I should check this out.
If you liked Vanquish, you'll like Bulletstorm. The only difference is first person view ... and lots of numbers on screen ;P

Ignoring the pricetag, I had fun playing through it, and it looks great. There's so many scenic vistas, you got to take a deep breath every now and then. The part with Waggleton P. Tallylicker was a moment of "OH GOD THIS IS AWESOME"
. However, the game didn't get much PC love, as the Field of View is locked to 85, and the framerate is capped to 62 FPS. It can be changed though with the Bulletstorm INI-file editor. One thing that did annoy me is the fact that you can't navigate the dropbox-menu with the mouse. Since DLCs are inevitable, as the menu for it is already there, we'll see what the future holds. -
Target audience : People who spend the evening with the opposite sex to violate a game-controller. And the trailer doesn't explain a god damn thing, other than you have to be quite drunk to stick a wii-mote down your crack and let someone spank you, which NO ONE WILL DO SINCE IT'S STUPID.

Still waiting for Bulletstorm to unlock in Europe on Steam, which is in approx. 20 hours from now. They are still too afraid to let games unlock globally at the same time, in this digital age. And no chat in co-op is no problem as any bum can setup a Mumble-server for your friends to use for voice-communication when playing. About the FOV: with the ini editor, you might be able to adjust that, just like in Borderlands (considering it's pretty much the same engine). If the FOV is still locked down, there will be programs made to bypass it. I swear it will.

So uh ... Planetside Halo!
