We were spoilt by loads of custom stuff in HL1 and mods. I hate the trees already.

There should be a little imp locked in the tower of a castle, but with a PC and an internet connection, obv., who does nothing but churn out custom content and send it to random places for everyone to revel in. What a joyous world that would be.

I'd rather eat my own cock than play a killbox map. And I'm not going to devour chong in a million years. And if, by some miracle, I live for one million years, then I'll re-evaluate my ancient statement and realise that, yes, I was definitely being sarcastic.

The next version of Hammer had better support lighting previews or I will fucking cry.

As for UnrealEd, the reason I didn't really get into it was the way you have to give exact values when hollowing out sections to work in. Is there any way to make it so you can drag stuff out ala Hammer, because I don't think I will be able to resist a dabble in Unreal 3 Engine mapping in the future.

Doom 3 engine. I'm suprised anything's matte at all.

Is it? The previews say it's a proprietary engine, but that does make sense since the team are used to the Quake 3 engine.

What's up with the game engine in general? Looks fake as fuck - everything is composed of papier mache.

Ah, I have too many commintments, but I remember this mod from a while back and it does indeed look professional.

Best of luck recruiting, you should have no problems snapping up talent.

Edit: Indeed, looks like you have that holy soul, Zazi, on-board. Impressive.

Looks very nice and moody. Despite the standard hl2 props. Good luck with the mod.

Thanks - we're doing the best we can with standard HL2 stuff, creating it prop for prop (by that I mean if you see a piece of graffiti or a streetlamp, then you can expect a custom version to replace it exactly in the future), but the quality of our work will increase ten-fold with some modellers and texture artists onboard.

Do you really have admission to use copyrighted (game)name "Residen Evil"?

Sigh, yes! I've said it so many times over the years, but once more can't hurt: Capcom allows others to use the 'Resident Evil' name as long as the enterprise is non-commercial. Which we are.

And RD, you have a point, with the past failures of (lesser ) RE mods jinxing the franchise from a mod perspective, but we hope to remedy that. And RE4 has reinvigorated the series, bringing in a great deal of new fans.

Was it actually called "Gun Survivor" in the US, or was that just an adopted name? In the UK it was simply called "Survivor". Anyway, while it was a fairly crappy game, it wasn't as bad as most people made it out to be. It deserves some credit for taking the lightgun genre in a bit of a new direction by offering movement control and non-linearity, even if it didn't do it particularly well. Playing in an FPS and coming up against some of the classic RE enemies was also quite a novel and at times frightening experience - need I remind anybody of the first time they met RE2's trenchcoat tyrant enemy in survivor, or when you realise there are more than one of them out there to get you?

It was certainly a bit of fun, but when I played it I didn't even have a lightgun, so some of the enjoyment was lost of the annoying Dualshock controls. I didn't make the same mistake for the PS2 version, Dead Aim, which was a lot better and had a more developed story.

Bridge Construction Set - The MovieKurt Russell is maverick engineer Isgoed Jones - with a gun in one hand and graph paper in the other, he battles for engineering where others don't dare. Will he be able to make the 1 mile suspension bridge across the valley for the poor opressed people in the Welsh village of Trawsfynydd?

Part A Beautiful Mind, part Braveheart, part Tango and Cash, watch as Isgoed battles thugs from the council town planning board!

Brings a tear to my eye. What a beautiful concept.

Certainly have played RE4; there's a lot to learn from it.

And Gun Survivor is more of a lightgun game than a FPS. Plus they're rubbish, so I think we'd all rather forget about them.
