Really didn't see this coming. Epic must have really seen something they liked in the Reality engine, and the addition of this tech guy can only strengthen the Unreal 3 engine.

You should see some parts of 2, 3 and 4. SH1 is an innocent summer walk compared!
Played parts of 2 and 3, they aren't that scary.Since it just got kinda old when you have seen almost the same stuff in 3 games.
Each game has a few key scary-as-fuck moments; the actual gameplay/combat isn't all that scary. Places like The Mirror Room of SH3 and that electrocution cutscene in SH4 really got to me, but I see where you're coming from: the original SH was quite original and daring, so its impact was undoubtedly greater.

Looks better than Lionhead's Room!
Nah seriously, looks very nice. Really feeling the grain of that wood.

Physical Retail is slowly dying, it's only a matter of time.

Res Evil 4 really is the defining point of the series. I've been a fan of the games since day 1, but Res Evil 4 has done an incredible job of wowing both long time players and newcomers/dislikers of the series.Silent Hill isn't particularly wonderful from the off, but if you persevere a little and go through some areas such as the school or hospital, it can get pretty freaky. It was, at the time a really twisted and frightening experience, far more so than the rather tame RE games. The focus on melee weapons made everything feel that bit more intense and threatening too.
Gameplay wise 4 is defining, but its story and characters (aside from leon and Ada, obviously) are rubbish compared to the untouchable RE2 and REmake.
I love all the Silent Hills, so maybe this is a bit biased, but they're all pretty damn good. 2 is easily the best; its story carries better than many movies for Pete's sake, while 4 brings a fantastic (and fucking scary) fresh perspective to the series.

Looking outside during some rainfall (with an extremely grey sky), I spotted this beauty.

Not too happy with the composition, since I was pretty much hanging out of my bedroom window just to be able to take it free from glass glare, but I reckon it's still a nice shot.

I can tell you the full game is better than how it appears in that screenshot.
Not much better though.

Fuck me. I thought I wouldn't be reinstalling UT2004 - evidently, I was wrong.

The Room did look pretty spectacular, I mean some of that stuff, the digital clay particularly... amazing. I can see Lionhead's dilemma though - sculpting an actual retail game around that would be next-to-impossible.

It's a prototype. I'd be suprised if it actually looked good.
