Cant you guys import rmfs in Hammer 4 ?

Strangely, some work, some just give me an error.

Oh and just read your post. Stay with us, Mino.

Don't be too down, stuff like Sin and its episodic style, if it works, and I pray it does, would help destroy such monopolies by lettting any developer get it on distribution with a fraction of the overhead.

If I still had HL1 Hammer up and running I'd check this love out. Instead, I'll just admire from a distance, nodding my head to the Brazilian beat.

Not enough to make me cry though, thankfully. Seems like there's more than enough content to define the SiN universe.

I wonder, if you license the source engine for a project, do you get the right to use HL2 art and model assets as well? Or is this some special deal with Ritual. Otherwise, I fear we will see HL2 white metal railing models in all future Source games.

They could at least reskin them, it'd only take 5 minutes!

Your saying all others on the internet besides me agree with you? You have proven my point.

And just for the record, I give it 5 out of 5.

No thats not what im saying. When judging a movie u dont just think of ur own opinion. U like it and give it 5 stars, but this has nothing to do with the movie really deserving it. Ur overlooking its obvious flaws becaus u liked the tripod sounds or somthing or u think u understand spielbergs deeper meaning. But u shouldnt have to read the original novel or investigate spielbergs motives to enjoy it.

This movie will definitely not go down history as a classic or a masterpiece. A 4 or 5 star movie is a classic masterpiece.

Who needs to award arbitrary scores to everything anyway? Films, games, music - all an experience rather than something maths can handle. Every single person will feel differently about every single thing, some more so than others.

Im actualy wait for a MMO GTA. Singleplayer is nice but that was yesterday. Im not able to enjoy a sp game since i know the experience of multiplayer games. It feels so fake to interact with NPC's...

I'm the opposite. A good singleplayer game has the same impact as a good film, and it many cases the enjoyable qualities in both overlap. It's a fantastic journey into fantasy, and it creates memories to be cherished.

Multiplayer on the other hand is like a sport. Low on the memorable moments, high on pure fun, but it works best in small sessions to prevent repetition setting in.

no, for static props you don't need an idle "animation".

Great, so not only is the tutorial not telling me how to create bones, it's bullshitting me about this too. I wish someone would write a comprehensive, honest guide on this. It really isn't too much to ask.

Even static props need anim .smds to function, however like Mike-O says it's just an idle thing. No movement. And my .qc file is all correct, I just can't find anywhere on the web that tells me how to create bones/joints in XSI and assign vertexes to them.

Absolutely beautiful KB, my only advice is to break up the repetition of that HL2 tree line, the tree type as well is slightly too sinister for the map's Autumnal love.

I'm going to sound extremely dense here, but none of the tutorials I've seen on the web mention any of this. I have my 3 .smds (model, anim and physbox), my texture in .vtf format and my accurate .qc file.

But then studiomdl.exe complains that my model has no bone, and thus can't compile. Now, like I said, I can't find anything on this, so my question is, how do I add bones in XSI to a model? I really want to get my first (test) model ingame.
