He created modern day mainstream pop music. Nobody ever considered modern mainstream pop as particularely good music (except for the fanboys and fangirls). He is no ABBA. Most of his songs are not very catchy, especialy his later work. His music is also missing the timelesness. Stuff like Thriller or Beat It is no music that you could cover or remix and would instantly create a new charts hit.I mean he was nearly forgotten already by the public before he died. What we see now is a hype. People get nostalgic, remember the good times they had in the 80's. And they forget for now why they didn't like him anymore. Soon he will be remembered as the child molesting freak again and his grave will become an morbid attraction like the catacombs of paris.

He is no ABBA, thats right, he is way bigger than them. But you are right in his later work not beeing so good but you can say the same thing about abba

His music both founded the modern day mainstream pop and outlived all of it since its still great music. (alot of Mj's music is used as party music to this date, cant really say the same thing about abba.)

And lol, yeah noone has never covered MJ and gotten instant recognition if they did it well. [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]

appareantly it wont be like onlive were onlive is a portal site containing all the games, but this gaikai software will instead be used by the games companies on their own websites to display their games.

I'd hate it if WoW was just a click away :s

Hahah this is really fun to read.

Most of the people here who go on and on about MJ sucking donkey balls because his music sucks or it is something you've heard before, is like hearing someone talk about video games telling me that quake is "meh" because he's played so many shooters and playing quake now didnt bring him anything new.

If you had been into music, which I doubt you are, then you'd realize what this is all about. He created modern day pop music. Every pop artist that has come after him has copied him in some way or another. Stating that his music mediocre is borderline ridicilous and you clearly dont know what you're talking about.

    Defiance was good.

But yeah, theres tons of ww2 movies that depict the war from different sides, its just that the american ones get noticed because they usually are awesome high budget movies.

There was recently released a norwegian ww2 movie called Max Manus that over 1.1 million norwegians went to see in the cinemas (thats impressive given that we're only around 4.5 million people), its highly recommended.

D3ads, although your ranting is nice to read and I understand where you are coming from, then it seems that what you hate the most about salvation is the fact that the future is not like it was depicted in t1/t2.

Have you ever considered that this is not the future that was depicted in t1/t2?

Although I can't imagine the general public being comfortable with a Call of Duty game where you play the single player story as a German soldier, but it would definitely be interesting. Call of Duty: Volksdeutsche

I played both TS and BC and I cant really say that BC was THAT much better. Sure the LD was better and the voice actors were better but the terminator universe got so much more going for them. I enjoyed TS a little more, mostly because BC was frustratingly hard to control and I usually play things on the computer (Tried BC on xbox and TS on the pc).

I always tried to look for the enemies and follow them, but they just spawned out of some random hatches along the way so they werent much help

Should have been more obvious with the colors or something, because the water thingie (although beautiful) it was frustrating.

Skynet is a satelite based AI as far as I know.

What does that mean, satellite based AI?

    Quote from D3ads

    - The Terminators capturing humans... but why? Who knows, never explained.

It was explained. Kind of. The whole thing was a plot to lure bale into skynet (to rescue his soon-to-be-father), and then skynet could kill him.

    Quote from D3ads

    - No chemistry between Katherine and John, I didn't even know it was Miss Brewster until I looked in the official guide book in HMV :/ All of the characters were cardboard cut outs, even Bale sadly.

No idea how you missed that when he called her his wife at his deathbed.

    Quote from D3ads

    - In the first film, Kyle tells Sarah that the resistance stay low during the day and only come out to move around at night, so what the Hell were they doing leading an assault on a Skynet bunker during the daytime? Lame.

This was also explained rather early in the movie. The terminator HK's hunt better at night because of their infrared vision... Makes sense to me. If they hadn't done it this way because of something that was stated in the first movie then I think a lot of idiots would ramble on about the terminators beeing lame, not having infrared vision.

    Quote from D3ads

    - Remember in the intro to the original films there was a huge tank like HK driving over thousands of human skulls? Remember also that the endoskeletons were fighting the humans with laserguns? None of that here, the nightime sequences didn't even feel like a post apocalyptic california.

This movie is a lot earlier in the timeline than what you are remembering from those scenes, so no, lasers wasnt invented yet.

    Quote from D3ads

    - Terminator motorbikes? What the fuck? When they emerged I instantly thought of Transformers, *facepalm*.

Except they didnt morph and was basically just a motorbike with guns attached, not that hard to believe existed given that skynet had planes, walking robots and swimming monsters.

    Quote from D3ads

    - How the fuck does Skynet know that Kyle is John Connor's father?! None of the original terminators ever found that out and relayed it to Skynet, obvious huge plot hole is obvious.

Lol, how do you know that skynet couldnt ever possibly have known this? In the first movie the terminator is sent back to kill Sarah connor, John connors mother. How did it know then that Sarah was his mother? I mean, comeon, do you need everything explained?

    Quote from D3ads

    - Terminator Human hybrid was just shit and how the Hell did Cyberdyne systems know how to build such a thing? Skynet only learnt how to replicate the T-800's to look like humans after Judgement Day happened.

Did we watch the same movie? The movie is set right after Judgement day, and following your own logic they just learnt how to replicate the t-800's to look like humans...
