    Ahaha this thread reminds me of a phone call I received from a worrying mum. She had tried to search for me on google and found the awesome videos of me not beeing able to put a car into gear and sliding downhill on the road on the ice (damn you google and youtube!!).

    But yeah, any game employer that is looking for a 100% serious character to join their ranks are looking for the wrong guy.

    • 1. Not heard about (because its crappy).
      2. Not seen (because its crappy).

    Those movies that I think is best ever doesnt have a sequel (Gladiator, The rock, Avatar). Now I heard from my brother (unrealiable source) that cameron has stated that if Avatar does well he's gonna make it into a triology.

    Samsungs new TV's comes with internet shizzle, but since you aint got the budget for those new tv's (800+ euros). Then I say go for an LG like" LG 32" LCD-TV 32LH4000"

    Some people have to read books to get to the place they want to go, others dont. Telling people that reading books is not something you have to do because it can be self taught and that other people have managed to land decent jobs without reading books is.. well.. short sighted. The moment you start thinking you cant learn anything more, or that everything left to learn can be found out by yourself then you are starting on a slippery slope.

    Theres ALWAYS someone smarter than you. And most of those people write books to teach you just how much smarter they are.

    I learned so much from Hourences book, much much more than I'd expect. Especially the lighting chapter is very good!

    My entry position came with a 45K euro salary and now after a year its 48K euros. I get a raise in march tho, so I'm hoping to pass the 50K mark.

    But, I'd MUCH rather be programming a game. Life is too short to make JTable's and JComboboxes only to have some weird Swing bug fuck your program up randomly.

    I've found that I get motivated A LOT by others feedback. If its negative then I take that as self improvement and work hard to make it so they are pleased (If I can agree with what they've said ofc). If it's positive I spend even more time doing that extra polish that everything needs. It has actually become a steady routine for me at work, when I've worked a few hours I go to show my boss what I've done to update him on the progress but also to boost my own willingness to work more on the project.
