Quote from Warbyskjalg what you just described there sounds like ... competitive grinding ?which i pretty much equate to competitive eating !
... its disgusting !
/edit the tf2 that came out is leaps and bounds better than the other tf2 could ever have hoped to be ! [scout]WOOOOHOOOO[/scout]
Haha yeah, competitive grinding is a good word for it. But imagine the sweet taste of a kill you know will upset another grinders grind ![]()
Its basically why world pvp is so popular/hated in WoW as well ![]()
I earn 73 200.00 US$ before taxes as a programmer (after ~3 years as such) in Norway, per year.
As for major costs:
My rent is 9 900.00 US$ per year ![]()
My car costs around 12 000.00 per year (for a total of 5 years) and its a Audi A3 sportback 1.9TDI (2006) 80 000km. (bought it today:D).
and you can count around 6 000.00 US for electricity, diesel, food, internets per year
Dota is a 5 vs 5 custom map in wc3 where you basically select one hero at the beginning of the match and play only that hero (wc3 is an rts, if you didnt know, so all controls are just as in wc3, even the hud).
You got 1 hero to play around with, so does your 4 team mates.
Your hero gains experience by killing things on the map, and every time you level up you get more hp/mana and you can skill up one of your spells.
You got 3 spells and one ultimate spell (aquired at level 6, which is usually something badass).
The objective is to kill the other teams' heroes and finally their base.
If you get killed then you are out of the game for a set amount of time (based upon your level and time played).
You also earn gold by killing things and you can purchase items with that gold. You loose gold buy dying and purchasing stuff.
Thats because you're blind lol ;D
PS, theres already a thread about it.

edit, Ah I see you saw it ![]()
The vertical tile is a little easy to spot, but great work nontheless ![]()
Change the font in your resume section to something other than times new roman. it looks balls ![]()
Haha yeah, that is excactly why I went from trying to just explore the world to killing what I found, because they took so long on their turns ![]()
I remember I saw a documentary about muslim death metal (I think it was in Iran).
It didnt turn out well.
crank up the difficulty?
Lol its true. While they have really perfected and streamlined alot, the AI isn't really up to par with the rest of the game... Once you go to war everyone hates you. I've never even been able to DEMAND anything from anyone yet, even if I own all cities and they are puny.
Its part of the character building for the main character. She cant help it, she gotta steal ![]()
Imagine growing up on the street, then turning to the life of piracy. Would you have a 100% straight moral compass?

I actually like the episodes that cover "current" events, and most of the episodes that poke fun at celebrities. Like the one with Bono, the biggest shit in the world ![]()
This nascar episode was a bit unfunny, tho it was entertaining. Cartman is entertaining when he does things that are not so stupid that his character should understand it. I mean, "
QuoteI need to get more stupid and poor in order to be a nascar driver
". The premise is just bad^^

* Enemies hit faster than I'm able to block. They also seem to be blocking when you're hitting them from behind (?).
* Some of the NPCs could have said something more interesting than "I'm busy".
* Since it's a prototype it's obvious there's no voice acting, however i can't help but think something likewould be awesome and doable. * I feel like the grappling hook should have been a reward for something, it felt too generous of the game to give it right away.
* Since it's possible to edit the input this is probably not very valid criticism, but I didn't like having slash attack on X so that I can't move the camera while using the sword. I'm guessing maybe lock-on or semi-auto movement would be in a retail version.
* I didn't see the two wheels in front of the treasure chamber.
* At the volcanic island where you call your ship; I thought I was going to call it again at the platform before the two grappling hook-balloons. The distance looked like it was supposed to be covered by my ship. What is your target audience by the way? The game definitely has potential for younger audiences (the grappling hook-chains part might have been a bit too hard), even better if you could customize your ship (which I guess you have probably planned for). I love platformers, there's too few of them these days.
Our target audience is 5 to 50
If you look closely at the enemies they draw back their spear and leave you a very large opening to block. Maybe in the full game we'll implement different degrees of difficulty. If we get to make the full game ![]()
That is good to know.
But do you regret doing it? Considering the learning experience vs the cost.
Hehe Yeah I think you were wrong about targeting PC for what seems like would be a blast on xbox live or ps3.
I just hope that Pirates on new horizons dont suffer the same fate ![]()
