sim games with humor is... non existent? The only I can think of are civ, anno, settlers and the like... But they are more strategy games than fun sims like theme hospital...

Its not only about keeping up with pirates distribution, but refusing to lower the prices even when they do compete (with stuff like Netflix). Sure they have to pay for servers and bandwidth but that price is NOTHING compared to factories creating physical copies that you then have to ship to peoples homes. This is also true for steam. I remember when Steam was brand new and cheap as fuck. Don't get me wrong, there's A LOT of cheap games on steam, but Skyrim was actually 15€ (not $!) cheaper in my local store and that's not the only game with ridiculous online pricing. its almost like the only reason it was for sale on steam was so that they'd get the exposure there.

I think its a brilliant move to combat piracy. Cracks in the future will not be about allowing you to open the or log into the game, it will be about getting endless "moves" within the game.

Imagine if you had to purchase actions that you spent with your mouse and keyboard in starcraft 2. They'd be gazillionaires! (oh wait, they are)
