    no, seriously, heres whats mainly wrong with ur cliffs;

at the top of them, it looks like they are excactly straight, like a horizontal line has just cut the cliffs off straight up there...

Making the top of it just go down and up again a few times wont increase ur r_speeds that much...

    ah, yea...

After a few hours of watching some 3dsmax movies and doing some tutorials, I think I maybe have figured this out...

To make a like, a computer screen, like you have there, you just create a box, right click it and choose the "Editable Mesh" thing, and then do all the vertex editing you want?

or is that a bad way to do it?

Strangely enough, all that reminded me of a movie I've seen... So I guess it's the same movie...

But I cant remember the title of it either... but unlike you, im not a freak, i can get over not remembering the title

I agree, but I must hand it to you, making a decent looking map with just HL textures is a good job...

yea, thats excactly what those tutorials made me feel like too...

But where did you then learn to make the simple objects? 3dbuzz?

yes, agreed, we something really cool and new like WW2

You know what would've been cool? Small arenas, 32 players, really explosive weapons and LOADS of gore!

    that would kick ass!

very nice Frie, Ive recently started learning the 3dsmax too, probably for the same reason as you...

I need my own low-poly models in my maps.

I've taken some of the tutorials that comes with 3dsmax, but i still cant figure out how to... like... MAKE good models, vertex editing etc... (I liked Milkshape)

Could you tell me what you did to learn that which you now know?

Mazy, what you see there is infact detail textures... (over the old one)

they have just overlaid a whole texture that improves the old one very nice with details... (not just some dirt here and there).

(that didnt explain much, did it?)

All this WW2 games is all about how Americans fought the war and won and became the greatest of all living, heroes ect.

    It gets boring

I couldnt agree more on that... Where is the game where the single player story is how a german (i.e. a farmer) fights back the incoming american troops somewhere in the farmland... And although the americans won, he did his share... (could be good?)
