Cincinnati: We're not really sure, but I guess its a air hose (if that makes sense).

If a door closes and the hose gets cut then the two aliens deflate while flying around like balloons running out of air (and you die and respawn)

We're looking at putting it on ouya I think, but as the prototype was just made in 4-5 days it is really rough in places. Especially the animation and sounds as you mention kokos. I was actually the one who put in most of the sounds on friday (saturday was the contest) and I spent like 4-5 hours on it only... (no time left, and I was so damn tired)

Thanks. Was a really cool challenge. And I feel we did almost everything right from the start. From how much time we spent on design, code, gray boxing, design and then finally polishing it with graphics and adding sounds.

For the third year in a row the Norwegian Film Institute held their annual Norwegian Championship in game play competition and the company I work for participated.

The theme for the competition was announced 10am on december the 27th and you had to show your prototype on saturday january 5th. Due to christmas break and new years eve there was really only 3-4 days available for us to work, but I guess you can count all the days since we spent the holidays contemplating and discussing ideas for what we were going to make.

    The theme was "Size matters".

Obviously we had a lot of ideas, but after spending some time googling we found that alotof theideas weretaken on the subject. (there so many flash games out there holy crap).

But we eventually ended up with a two player game where one dude is small and the other is big and you can swap the size of the two. They are also attached with a cord.

So heres a small video of the 6 puzzles we managed to get together in the short time frame that the competition lasted. We didnt use any existing assets for this project so its all made from scratch (we used unity).

TBH, Steam will probably be the most successful on the basis that most gamers already have a Steam library filled to the brim with games.

The downside to piston is that it runs on linux, which even some of valves games doesn't support (yet). I'm looking at you DotA2.

Theres too many of these being announced, which I think will scare away the consumer (they wont know which to buy) and they will just save their money for something they know ill be worth it (like the next xbox/ps3/wii).

Where does it say it can play existing pc software? As far as I understand it can only run android games, and even those probably has to be ported to use the the new kind of input controllers that this thing has. Hopefully it will be very similar to ouya in that regard. But I am not optimistic about this.

So I made a twitter account instead and now my g+ account is dead...

I've grown soft over the years and getting max fps out of the card is not what makes me buy a card anymore. (ofcourse it matters though).

How silent the fan is counts more imho. So basically how warm does it get?

I dont think it is the educational system, because bullies exist in all countries and this shit almost only happens in america.

You have no idea how the educational system works in the US, Sentura, you've probably not even spent more than a month in the US combined, let alone any days inside any of their educational systems. You are, and I quote, "blindly blaming some or other scapegoat" when you blame the educational system or his (again, you have no idea how this guy was brought up or what his surroundings were like) environment. cant you see what a hypocrite this makes you?

Also, as a side note, you do in this discussion as you always do and start changing up what you mean saying "by x I also mean y" translating to; you are trying to persuade us that you have been right from the get go, even though x is clearly wrong but as long as it means y you are on solid ground. But it's very easy to see that x is not y. Educational system is not the same as the environment, and if you really meant the environment from the start, why did you write educational system (which encompasses so much more than one individuals environment?).

if it really is as you say that this guy was bullied, or somehow changed by his environment, how do you know for sure that it wasn't at soccer practice and not the educational system that he was bullied. Or at the bakery when buying bread by the bakers son?

What I'm getting at is that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Stop being a hypocrite and listen to your own words.

because mental issues are created from the environment. it's not like mental issues are all created at birth and then suddenly just triggering, most disorders happen through social interaction, through traumas or other issues that in the end force the person in question out to the fringes.

you blame him for having mental issues, but you don't see what could have evoked those issues in the first place.

Sentura, when did you get your psych degree? I'd love to see your sources on this.

I was so excited for this, since I love building games, but when I tried it out on spillexpo in Oslo last week the game was really laggy and unresponsive. I'm so hoping they will fix those issues because to me that game was unplayable.
