It would be cool to have one, maybe two, piece(s) of music for my single player project... (sci fi shooter, looking for some rock (starcraft terran - style) music for it).

easy solution, host the teaser on some silly gaming site that has servers world wide, and just link to it...
Either that, or host it on youtube

edit; or even better.. Just post it as a torrent file..

Tell me, how do you spot gameplay from screenshots? As far as I can see, it has potential for some interesting gameplay if they do something cool with those magics...
-
haha yeah, i noticed that too...
I think this is all just a mistake of timezones
Besides, appareantly the counter on the page (havent checked this myself) just checks the time on your computer and displays the counter, so it shows different for people in the us etc... -

ok then i will make you feel worse
at my campus there are several 30+ years olds and my experience was that they all left after 6 motnhs or maybe 1 year. it was too hard for them to get back into the learning process. you should better hurry to get your ass into a uni. but maybe i am wrong and art related courses are less hard as my bachelor of science
Excactly the same thing here... They all did excellent in math and other subjects like it, except what the whole course was about. Programming. so they all dropped out after one year. I think older people have a harder time understand things that are completely new to them. But if you work in the games industry for 10 years, then decide to take an art diploma, my bet is that you'll Ace it

did crytech release an early version to some fanboys?
-
I'd like a good method for making the normal map and specular map for the same piece of texture?
that way you can keep the "next gen" name

The normal map is too noisy!
You were right, He had to tone down the normal map

The rts scene there looks great nooba. Are those hl2 textures? especially the rock texture there reminds me of stock hl2 textures...
Im up for a game generalvivi, just get in touch over msn

I think Defrag is spot on. We all just have to wait for this generation to grow up before we'll all become superstars

Creatin games is more engineering then art I'd say.
I think this holds true, or has held true for about ten years... With editors and photoshop becoming easier to use, I think the trend is starting to change.
Making maps is getting easier and easier every day. Just take a look at what crysis will offer; "what you see is what you play". I'm not saying that single-player triggers and all that will be easy, but creating a beautiful scene and/or a map will eventually boil down to having the talent to build and create something beautiful.
And whos to say that engineering something beautiful in every way isn't an art?

I like the legs.. The upper body and arms are meh, but still a lot better than me
