I thought stolve's bashing of fo3 based on a 30 second cinematic trailer was impressive; but this, this puts that to shame... based on 13 words and some concept art on the cover of a gaming magazine. Truly, a new bar has been set.

Since that's all I have to work with, I have to give it a shot.I've never really been a fan of the entire "Let's wait until it's release with our crits", I'd rather be proven wrong.

And wondering how you mix up so many different things, and end up with a good result, is that considered bashing?

Stalker with cars isn't a bad thing, I just imagine that is what the finished product will feel like.

Borderlands features a groundbreaking content generation system allowing for near-endless variety in missions, environments, enemies, weapons, item drops and character customization.

I mean Stalker with MMO random dungeon system for the tasks\quests..

How do you mix Diablo, Mad Max, Sci-Fi, FPS, Coop and RPG into one game without destroying them all? Hack and slash doesn't really go along with RPGs.

Let me guess what the game will be like; Stalker with cars!

Taylor, I like iDs character design a lot more than the ones from GBX in the cover. I also recall that they are actually making a game, and not just an engine.

Is this serious? They are making a game that is so close to iDs rage. I mean from what I see on the cover, there are post apoc elements, and it's sci-fi and it has motorized stuff. With rpg elements? Wow, iDs game also is suppose to have some minor rpg elements.

    This is just ...

What's up with this stuff, 2 major companies working on "the same project" without knowing that the other company is doing the same thing?

Ok 4 player coop, yeah whatever that doesn't sound so ground-breaking to me. Maybe it's coop ala Left 4 Dead.

I wonder how Rage will play out.

Is it RPG-ish? (ala Stalker with rallys?) Or is it pure action FPS mixed with racing?

I love the sound of Vinyl. Even new songs on Vinyl sound so much more "classy" than digital sound.

Yeah I did, but wouldn't a mortar shell blow up the roof? Or would a simple 40-70mm grenade blow up the entire building?

  • Unreal vs Source.

For simple leveldesign, I'd go with Source.

But if I had the chance to make a mod, I'd go with UE since Source is such a dumb thing to work with, exporting, compiling etc. Like a simple small prop, you'll spend more time making it work ingame that you'd spend on making the damn thing.

I think Hammer is more userfriendly than UE, but if you want to learn UE, you'll get it in no time.

I just don't see how the building would go from being a normal building to a ruined building like that. What happened to it? Bomb? Tankshell? Poor carpentering?

Personally I'd shave of one of the corners + some of the "main" wall. I think.

You know, ruins are kinda hard to get right.

You map like you're being haunted by the evil spirit of The_Postman himself..

What?!?The whole ruined part looks pretty damn strange. It's cool, but not really realistic. There is really no house left to carry the rest of it

Anybody care to post them as images?

As for bioshock, hopefully it's good. But after what I've read on different E3 previews, I don't trust game journalists a bit.

Thanks for the spoiler asshole, I was going to play the game some time soon (since I missed it in some way)!!111111

Looks awesome, you even manage to give it characteristics before it's textured, not many people do that.

Yeah it's waaay better to browser .jpg files, with .raw, I only get a small tumbnail in the "Open" tab in PS, makes it kinda hard to find all the goodies.

Also on the top, you can wield the center one to one of the sides without any visual lost really.

I've also wanted to do a chest for a while, maybe for the next low poly contest?
