Quote from Senturadifferent blokes different strokes. just because you don't like it doesn't mean anybody else can't.
When the running\walking animations make you look like you moondance forwards, then you cannot call that nice. As a game critic, you should have an eye for that.
I'm not saying this cause it's FO3 by Beth, but because it looks like crap.
Quote from Senturaa bit off topic, what do you hardcore fallout guys think about fallout tactics?
Most people do not like it, atleast not the guys at NMA. Why? RPG elements.. The SPECIAL is useless in Tactics really, all you need to focus on is big guns, energy weapons etc., and make 1 dude a medic. Also, story doesn't make any sense and is "wrong" compared to 1 and 2.
Personally, I like it, since I like post apoc stuff and I like squad tactics games, even though I play it without the turn based feature, since that one is pretty bad. Also, there is no stuff to do after you have free'd towns or whatever...
As for the reviews, I agree with peris. A game cannot get 10/10 with crappy graphics, that simply should be impossible.
Who doesn't like a mini tactical nuke? ME.
But I'll try the game, make 1 ultra smart, good looking dude and 1 ultra dumb ass ugly mofo dude, if there aren't any severe changes in the dialogue, this is a throw-away as a Fallout 3.
Except that the checkpoint dudes are freelancers, mercs. Why would they fire at you?
It's ok that the faction you aren't working for fire at you, but considering that you do work for both, it's a mess. Imagine if EVERYONE in Stalker would fire at you, this is what FC2 is like...
This game is VERY repeating, if you care to drive\walk\swim around for 10 minutes and then do 1 min of combat for each mission, then you'd love this game.
The idea is great, but the game isn't entertaining enough.
I just entered the 2nd map, maybe things speed up?
Mino; I agree with dux, evey weapon does damage to the world, except for the machete. It only adds marks to a few things, but that's it.
It's like a more shooter oriented Stalker, but with very, very limited amounts of people. They are all the same, ie. the guy who works at the gunshops, he is the same character no matter which shop you enter, his missions are also the same (destroy convoy with shitty aks etc.).
The game looks very nice, but it's all about driving from 1 point to another, on the way you get past a couple of checkpoints which are always hostile, so you blow them up. Then find some diamonds and then drive on. Then encounter some random dude in a vehicle that rams you while his topgunner is trying to shoot you.
The main missions are very often "get this from that person", and your friends want you to do something else first. Pistols and rifles are crap, heavy weapons and machete is the way to go. RPG7s are so much fun.
Weapon jamming is a pain in the ass, but then again, weapons in Africa would jam cause of all the dust etc.
What FC2 needs, is more variation, a lot more.
It's pretty amazing that your normal average gamer can turn into one of the 11 angry guys on a webpage within weeks. I guess this just proves that most people who think Fo3 kicks ass didn't get past the "figure out your controls and stuff" in Fo1\2
Yeah, I think it is
but I cannot get terrain in the sky and sides to cover it ![]()
VERY, VERY interesting read
I'm looking forward to what they say about FO3.
FC2 editor is easy to use, but; it's hard to make it look good.
I can't get anything to cast shadows, so my maps look kinda cheap. I know how to change the suns position, but it doesn't really effect anything, hell even if it's close to the ground, still doesn't give shadows ![]()

Well hello there! Based off your answers to the test, we think you are the Accidental Gamer, or what some people might call the "Casual Gamer". However, here at MyGameMug, we believe a "casual gamer" is a hard term to accurately describe. We think you don't really play online games that much or at all. You most likely 'accidentally' stumbled into online platform or PC gaming or recently started playing online and have developed some sort of curiosity.
Seeing how you've taken the time to complete this test, we will assume that you have experience in gaming, enjoy it, are level headed, and you are looking for people to play with. However, it is clear that you prefer to do other things to occupy your free time. Our recommendation is for you to play more video games online - who knows, you might 'accidentally' meet someone cool from MyGameMug if you do!
Oh well, I'm not leet enough for that test, or care about professional gaming.
edit: i should play more games online, except that all the games that I used to play online are dead, and I only play online on my xbox really.

Indirectly helping others by paying taxes isn't scary...
I just hope that before the election, both candidates go out and condemn the racism and blind hatred against each others. I wouldn't want someone to be my president if he had been calling his opposition for stupid things. People need to learn that there are other ways to win that just suckerpunching to the balls.
Most games make weapons mirrored, so that they look nicer. If they make them normal, there is almost never anything nice to look at.
I just posted that video cause it's hella funny. And I didn't say anything about McCain or Obamas politics, I just hope that people vote on what kind of politics they think is right, and not religion or skin color, no matter if they vote on the white and christian dude or the semi-black used to be a muslim dude.
That's all I have to say, and I hope most people have an more open mind, and do not elect their president on their skin color or religious views, you are suppose to elect them due to their politics right?
Quote from duxAnother buggy game? I especially hate it when they can't even make widescreen work properly. Grah.
Yeah! I'd even guess that a large number of the people with a PC able of running it, got widescreen. Why not just make the widescreen reveal more screen, and for others they have a normal 4:3 view:)
If people think that comments about a classic being remade into something else is cynical, then so be it. It's someones personal (and probably more than honest) opinion cause they might like the original game.
When a lead designer comes with a statement like that, it's ofcourse doomed to be full of hate.
100 of 100? That shouldn't be possible.
An what genre is the 100/100? FPS or RPG?
