uninstalling steam doesnt solve anything, seriously. even if you uninstall, move the cache files from steam folder so you dont have to download them again.
before uninstall, try this: delete clientregistry.blop file from Steam folder and restart Steam. if this doesnt solve your problem, reinstall steam application, do not delete your cache files. you just waste Valve's bandwitdh if you download them over and over again everytime you reinstall.

Quake 4 looks SO much better than Doom3. Its very well done!

Youre using small pixel typefaces in huge texts. Dont do it. Also that orange doesnt work quite well... Gray/Orange combination is old and done way too many times, try something new
