You might want to scale that water texture in the playable area too.

who wouldn't want a GREEN laser?

Where did you get that?

I've never read your books but I'm sure they're interesting. One thing bugs me though. Your book cover design is not attactive and doesn't make me want to read it at all. Streched fonts just like in your website, strong colors and messy overall look.

I sent my papers to Remedy like 1-2 months ago. No reply back. I need to get in touch with Recoil.

Saw this twice in 2 days

You know, I never said I don't want to work in any other companies. And the thing is, I never sent my portfolio or CV to Valve.
I've been trying to be in contact with many European companies (few from Sweden, GRIN anyone?) but never got a word back from them. So I'm definitely looking for work.

How exactly did you not get the job, Skdr? Your TF2 work is fantastic, on a par with Valve's stuff... Why did they turn you down?
I think I did quite well in the interviews. I was pleased after the whole deal but I was given some feedback after that. It's not about my skills to build good looking and playing levels, they didn't question those at all, it's about the whole process behind the ideas and Valve is known from their concept of it.
Like I said, I learned a lot and this was my first step.
-
Yeah, you know... Of course I'm disappointed but I have to think about the positive side of the whole process. I met some amazing people and learned a lot. I just have to try harder and try again later.

I just came back from the most awesome job interview ever. You might think job interview as a 1 hour process, nope. Make that 6 hours. I got a chance to talk with the most famous game designers and artists in the industry and I tell you - time flies when you have that kind of chance. This place is of course like many speculated - Valve.
I can't describe how rich experience this was to me. I mean I can easily now go back there and do better, I got the feedback I needed and got an insight look to their design philosofy. I learned so much. I just had an experience not many game designers ever get a chance to experience.
Too bad I didn't get the job but I won't stop here. They promised to keep the doors open for me because I was told that I'm talented and a bright guy with great ideas and thoughts about game design. I just need to keep going and do what I've been doing before. More work, more maps.
Oh and I got a chance to play Left 4 Dead.

Blitz: I'm pretty much free tonight, tomorrow evening and whole thursday. Things might change but this is how it looks like now. If you want to meet up, let me know
