I predict the internet will melt.

2 people hardly constitutes a migration

Yay for ken back on the list, whee!

Great stuff, Erratic. Solid geometry with kick-ass texturing and a really cool lighting tone. Interested to see where you take this.

Needs more ken back on the list!

Well, scalability for the game is one thing, but I imagine FrieChamp hates the idea of editing on a min spec machine...

I mean, Q4 runs on GF4s, but running the editor on a 4 is the most painful process known to man.

jumping doesn't really benefit the gameplay though. The idea is hopping from cover to cover to engage the enemy. They have leaping over cover, but honestly jumping would just quicken the gameplay.
I wouldn't use "quicken" so much as "break."

Jump is more frustrating a feature than it's usually worth; if you can get the same functionality with context-use scenarios, you win. It's not really a requirement of anything save for platformers - though twitch DM games certainly make good use of it too. And Crackdown.

There are screenshots from WH40k already?
No, there aren't. Probably a reference to the EA Mythic one, which from a technical standpoint is 'better' with higher poly count and texture resolution (and better/more consistent art direction and style than most), but I'd still rate WoW higher as far as overall direction and style.
Couple guys I knew from Raven are likely working on this, so it'll at the very least have some kick-ass artwork.

My understanding so far is that this shares gold/silver status with your xbox live account... which is a lot less annoying for xbox owners at least.
Interested to see where they go with this. Xbox Live kicks ass, but not everything will seamlessly transfer to PCs. Standardization on the PC platform is generally a good thing in my book... hope it works out well.

Looks cool as I'm sure I've passed along already. Don't envy the time you must have spent on the eye, though

Welcome to mapcore!

I'm still going to crown Radiant the king of dual-monitor effectiveness but UnrealEd is awfully close... my radiant-style viewport setting kicks ass except when I have to change the grid axis or a new build nukes my settings and I have to do it all again

Hammer would rule on 2 monitors if they ever make the texture window stop stealing focus when it's open... boo!

Wrapped up the story in Crackdown earlier today, and started playing more Lego Star Wars II while the baby was watching. Good child entertainment!

Still have to max out firearms and driving in crackdown, though...

All Sony hate aside, I would have expected them to close the gap a bit more early on - it's not unreasonable to think that a year after the 360 launch you'd see a few months of the PS3 ahead in monthly sales as some people with 360s buy PS3s to add to their collection and the initial Sony crowd gets their units. They have a lot of catching up to do with the 360s head start alone, and if that gap is widening already, there's trouble.
The Wii really is in its own category right now. It's great to see that the excitement is keeping up; that's been the biggest question about the platform so far... if they can keep this up through whenever they can get Mario, Metroid, Smash Bros, and other major franchises out the gate, I think they're going to have an absolutely stellar run.

AmpII! :science:
Actually, I don't recommend that one.
Nebula is pretty cool, though, runs everything through Maya plugins and is free. The educational game I worked on used it; it wasn't super incredible but did the job (plus there were only a handful of people working on it; I'm sure you could do more with more time and a few more people). http://www.radonlabs.de
Earlier version of the engine was used in this game: http://www.radonlabs.de/nomadsscreenshots.html
...which I think still looks pretty cool.
