Dont post your first map. Its a harsh reality but no one wants to see it. Learn off of it. Make sure you DO a first map. But build off of the lessons you learn rather than looking for us to teach you what you could've done. If that makes any sense. You have some sense of style, so roll with it and see where it takes you. Just dont post this BSP.

release it and move on!

I love you CJ so I'm going to be harsh.
The indoors looks promising and nice. The outdoors look ok but are simply a ton of props and water. I'm curious if you can get on top of the canal things. I think you can but you should take a pic from there. Very pretty though

Thats cause you have to rely on props for source now. Its a fact. And with only hl2 props available you get to see them over, and over, and over again.

very nice. Remove the filters.

The other sky was more promising for color. Now the map is VERY bland looking. Lose the ultra saturated yellow lights. Change their hues because they're distracting. Also tint all of the white lights to baige, blue, or something. Not a lot, just slightly. Barely anything is white.

if you go too far ou tthey come out of no where and eat you alive.

looks promising. Can you get onto where the warehouses are? Or is it just a sewer stomp?

dm_rebar. Its in the HL2DM forum.

maya is godly. Max is unstable. However I have to know both so no room to bitch.

in life NOTHING save maybe a diamond razor has a straight edge. EVERYTHING is bevelled to some degree. So when buildings noticably come to sharp corners it detracts from the aesthetics. Desaturate your colors or choose another color pallete.

first pic was promising, but than it went down hill from there.

PhilipK should be more confident. I dont have room for that yet.

one thing you can do is clip the corners off on a 4 unit grid. Just slize a 45 cut in them. Watch out for leaks but it will soften up the corners some.

gods among men are a wonderful thing

Cut it out you two damnit. I'd like to cook this but I lack a kitchen at the moment.

get more texture on the green surface. I"d say a little more contrast on the wood. Looks like unstained sanded wood.

lol you give my map too much credit
