I'll get my copy today, we should do some laggy fights again!

It's fairly complicated and every character has a death touch, though.

The first clip they released was a dark dungeon where cultists exploded into red mist and giants ripped barbarians in half and spat them across the room. This is neither twee or like WoW. The entire case otherwise comes from one selective screenshot where a rainbow was refracted in a waterfall, and while this is too nice for a world like Diablo, you still need some contrast and don't want to be wading through black and red all game.

Well, Other OS was there so homebrew didn't need to hack through the PS3 security. And, regardless of the hackers initial intentions, once it's open there's no question it's mainly used for piracy.

However, as far as I know anyone who got the Other OS removing update or a PS3 Slim (that never had Other OS anyway) can't really do much. And Microsoft likes to track hacks, pretend they don't know about them, then do a massive ban for the press. It's certainly harder than the PSX/PS2 eras where everyone had a dodgy uncle that could chip it and give you a million games. To play imports on my 360 I... brought a foreign 360.

I think more likely she’s stumbled upon some made-up-facts about titles like Rape Lay and just extrapolated those for viewer outrage and ratings. That controversial Japanese indie game distributed only at a convention in the tens to hundreds 5 years prior until certain Internet journalists tried unsuccessfully to ban it (FOX also ran a story on it, of course).

And, although I’m in no way defending the content, I find it odd that absolutely none of these articles on how sick and depraved it is, and how it relates to Japanese cultures view on women, and how it correlates with real world rape, and etc. mention that at the end of the game they kill you in self-defence.

I'd rather have seen this video from Amnesia developer Frictional Games or somebody who's actually doing something different with video games. This marketing ploy is like a bodybuilder calling a football player a "meathead". Look who's talking.

I had a quest bug in the twilight zone (thanks, I'm here all week) and basically ended up running around the world with 4 elites at my beg and call. I did what everyone would've done, no not the Ring of Blood or fast farming, I went around griefing alliance. Wish I could say my reign of terror was ended by a large coalition, but I actually just ganked a shaman a level higher than me but exploded before the elites got spells off. Shame.

Oh yeah, and I've been playing more Japanese shmups, and leaving a path of naked dismembered corpses in the mature Fallout 3.

I think the storyline is great too, but unless I want to read up on wowhead I'm still going to miss loads of it. Two rival factions all following the same linear path through the zone just means you're going to be ganged. I can't tell if this is another ill-fated attempt at world PvP or them not really taking PvP servers into account. Or maybe PvP servers are supposed to man up, and go do the linear quest path in the other viable zone, where another 85 feral druid definitely will not kill you in one bleed this time.

I’m really not seeing this grind everyone goes on about, though. All Blizzard have done since Classic is reduce the amount of time needed to get stuff done and, where grind is required, split it up with daily quests so logging on for excessive amounts of time is not possible. Levelling to 85 takes less time than hitting the level cap in any earlier versions, reputations hit revered through quests and exalted through dungeons and dailies, PvP points are now instantaneous... If anything, they are suffering from a lack of grind, quite quickly end-game content for norms is going to be 5 dungeons and Lol Barad (sp).

The vast majority of World of Warcraft players prefer to play singleplayer, it's exactly the reason it's successful. This is why you have never once seen people in WoW grouped for something that didn't require a group. This would not be the case in a Korean MMO, where people play in an Internet Cafe with their friends and stay in a party forever - not just when it's required for big shiny.

Levelled my Classic Warlock up to 84 now. I did ask a GM to fix my achievements but he basically said that, while he's on my side, he can't actually play about with them too much. Going by the date-stamp it looks like I actually celebrated New Year by raiding C'thun. I’ll accept old burned-out raiding loser, but that’s something else entirely.

The new quest zone design is kind of weird; both factions basically follow the same long chain of quests the whole way through the zone in a linear style. It looks pretty sweet lore wise, especially with the phasing stuff, but I miss most of it delivering and excepting quests at lightning speed then flying vertical upwards to avoid being blown up by alliance. I also can't quest in the underwater zone because I have the might boosh eel song stuck in my head.

Also, what happened to Druid players? When I used to play this game in Classic I loved them. Druid’s were always these happy-go-lucky players that knew what they were doing but didn’t make a big deal about it. Now they’re like Classic Hunters. Man, sweeping generalisations rock.

Walking around the freezer rooms I didn't know if I'd gotten lost, it was trying to do some clever hallucination thing, or they had copied and pasted the same room 5 times. Still, I liked the original and it looks like more of the same. Pinning babies to the wall and tazing them is harmless fun, after all.

This is also my pin code.

Went to my folks over Christmas with not much to do. But then my brother gave me a laptop and Cataclysm... Which is like taking an ex-alcoholic binge drinking, the monster. Now I have a 42 Goblin Warlock... What have I done?! Though in the time I've been away (borderline poop sock in Classic, tiny bit of TBC, nothing of WotLK) it looks like someone has stolen my original account. Trying to get it back but I don't expect I'll have much left, but it would only be vanity gear anyway, it's not that a few pieces of Plagueheart will be worth anything. Especially with Blizzards character scaling, hp has jumped two damn digits since I last played.

I cant believe you guys forgot The Mist

I thought of the Mist as soon as I saw the topic title, because I knew someone would mention it. Is it good, though? It's certainly shocking and comes out of nowhere, and that seems more what the topic is about, but I wouldn't put it on the good pile. In context it doesn't make a lot of sense and it wasn't in the original story, it's just a sudden cheap as shit way to end the film.
